Grip and No Slip? Yippie!
Although time alone will tell if these continue to stay on my shoes (and yes I get it, things wear out and must be replaced) so far so good. I took the very good advice of other reviewers comments, and also what's written on the back of the booklet the maker of these Anti-Slip Pad Shoe Protectors provided (found on the back page), had suggested, and made certain the soles of the shoes were clean and dry, before I used my hair dryer (Hot) directly on the bottom of the shoes. I figured 'hot' versus warm might be a better idea. I also pulled off the protective piece of each pad (one at a time) and also applied a bit of heat to the double-sided sticky part too. After placing it carefully on the sole of each shoe (And I did one shoe carefully at a time) I pressed down as hard as I could onto the sole setting/pressing it thoroughly into place, and then applied a bit more blow dryer heat. I immediately wore each pair I treated. And if they stay on longer then the Kiwi Sure Step Non-skid Pads, then it will have been money well spent. I like the fact that with the SUFOOT,. you get 5 pair for $12.99 versus the Kiwi that is only for one pair of shoes at $2.99 a pair, plus, the SUFOOT is a much bigger piece and can be trimmed down if needed. But at the larger size to begin with, they cover more shoe and give me more peace-of-mind. Perhaps I am incorrect, but the SUFOOT also feels like a heavier pad, and yes of course I realize the size is larger then the Kiwi, but the SUFOOT just feel thicker and like a better made pad to begin with. I will probably be ordering a set of these for my husband, and another set for me, as I have a lot more shoes then he does!

Came Off Easily
Cleaned and prepped the leather bottoms of two of my boots per instructions before sticking on the adhesives. Set them aside for a few days to let the adhesive set, and checked every time to see if the rubber stuck on well. However, the first day I tried them out, it stopped sticking partially on one of my boots. The rubber ended up hanging off like a flap, and I tried sticking it back on but it didn't help much. After a few weeks the rubbers on the other shoes would also fail or get bunched up. It'd be a pain while walking outside, since I couldn't easily change shoes, and it'd always feel uncomfortable to walk on.There was at least one point where one fell off while I was in the middle of walking, and I only noticed once I got home. A few times I ended up just tearing the rubber straight off the bottoms of my shoes, when it started coming off and became such an annoyance or got in the way of walking. The adhesives also left residue on the bottoms of my shoes after I removed them, which would get worn away after a bit of walking, but made it so I couldn't replace the rubber immediately.I don't know if it's because my leather soles were already too worn out for the sole savers to stick to, or if I wasn't able to clean them out well enough, but I just felt like it wasn't worth the hassle. Maybe they would work better for brand new shoes or ones with rubber or other synthetic-type soles, but I don't care to try again for these. At a certain point I think only the right side boot of the two pairs still had the rubber sticking on it well (I didn't feel like removing it at that point), which made for an awkward feeling since only one side had very much grip. It's since failed, as well, after sparse wear over a few months.I think I'll stick to other methods or better quality sole savers from now on.

Perfect
Pleasantly surprised by these little things. Have had them for about 3 months on a pair of treadless leather boots that I wear 3-4 days/wk and walk about 5k steps in daily. Used in rain a few days. They're only just now starting to peel in a couple spots but not enough to need changing for another month. Anyone leaving negative reviews isn't taking the time to apply them correctly. Trust me it's worth the extra time spent.TO APPLY CORRECTLY: Clean the bottom of the shoe's sole THOROUGHLY. I wiped it with soapy water until I could run my fingers across and feel no grit/dirt/dust. Let it dry and apply a hair dryer on high heat for about 15-20sec. Apply the sticky part to the shoe sole and press down firmly. Use the hair dryer for another 30-45s or so. Then put the shoe on (do this one shoe at a time, btw) and stand on it (all your weight on one leg) for at least a full minute or two. Repeat with the other shoe. I wore/stood on them for another few minutes after that just to be sure.

Amazing product, worth every penny
I have to say, these were amazing. I was in a wedding this past weekend where the bride and groom took us on a rocky hiking trail to find a special cliff that they had their vows on. I wasnt sure how rocky it was going to be but chose to wear 2 1/2 high wedges. Before we left for the wedding, I put these on my wedges because they had no grip or traction. Other girls in the bridal party had never heard of these before and all wanted to use one. They thought they were the most amazing things invented. I swear by these. What made them even better is we could cut a small section to place on the heel of the wedge for extra support. We had absolutely no problems all day. They trail we had to climb around was so incredibly steep and rocky and I didnt not on trip or feel like my shoes would slip. I was stable on my feet all day and I honestly have these grips to thank. Totally worth the money!!!! Every girl should invest in these for all of their shoes

Read the directions...twice!
Operator error, I wasted one set of these because I thought the surface of the shoe needed to be heated. If you don't follow the directions, these will not work, they aren't sticky at room temperature. However if you use a blow dryer to heat the sticker, it will adhere like superglue! I've not noticed any lifting at all. Good value provided you follow the instructions.

These are for UNDER the shoe
I ordered these to act as a cushion between my foot and the shoe but because of the rough surface it is meant for non-slip purposes. I am sending back, but only because it is not what I need. The pads themselves seem great.
