First weekend feedback
Feedback from my first weekend with the Q card case for my Samsung Galaxy S5.- The cards are pretty tight getting them in and out, but that is only after a few days. The leather will probably loosen up.- All the buttons work great, and have a very nice tactile response as well (satisfying "click")- Some cases I have had in the past have replaced the back shell of the phone, rather than going over the phone. I would highlight that this case case doesn't change the water resistance of the S5. The case itself may not be certified, but the phone is still able to take a dunk, even with the case on. That may not be the same for cases that replace the backshell. This is something that I tried to find info on prior to purchase, but could not.- The opening for the charging port is large enough to be able to flip the cover up to about 90-degrees, but no further. If the opening could be made slightly wider and not impact the speaker waveguide, that may be better. This is only a slight issue, since it doesn't impact getting the charger plugged in.- Lint: The lip your case makes around the phone makes a little lint trap that goes all around the screen. This is kind of a pain to clean, and otherwise takes away from the aesthetics. I am not sure what could be done about it, but it is noticeable.- Propping up the phone: I used to prop up my phone at night and use it as my alarm clock. The hard, rubbery sides of the Q card case make it very difficult to do, so I have been having to lean it on its back, since the sides just can't get enough grip on a surface to keep the phone propped up at all. I am going to look for a little mat or something that has a little more grip to see if I can solve it that way. Otherwise, I actually have to sit up to see the time in the middle of the night (heaven forbid!).- Speaker waveguide: I can't speak to whether the speaker actually "amplifies" the sound, but watching a couple YouTube videos with my kids, I was happily surprised by the sound quality. I think the mere fact that it is forward facing makes a huge difference. I will be on teleconferences with this, and the sound will be much better than I am used to.

Replaced my wallet
I was looking for a phone case, I got a wallet replacement. Personally, I find new phones *too* thin. My Galaxy S5 cramps my hands pretty badly, there's really no reason for it to be so thin. Because of this, I have to have to have a case. I tried the Otterbox Commuter, and replaced it with the Q Card Case. I'll do plusses and minuses:Q Card Case:+Wallet replacement. Holds up to 3 cards and a few folded bills, ideal for getting around the city.+Minimalist. Protects the phone, holds cash/cards. Done.+Faux leather is comfortable and classy, feels good and sturdy.+"Amplifier" redirects sound, so the speaker isn't as sensitive to the phone being on its back.-Amplifier doesn't allow phone to sit flat when upright, could use some tweaking in this regard.Otterbox Commuter:+Incredible protection, worthy of the Otterbox name.+Rubber port covers mean the already water-resistant S5 becomes virtually invulnerable.-Maybe overkill? I mean the phone is IP67 and has Gorilla Glass out of the box, how much more protection do you need?-Rubber port cover for the headphones can be a bit tricky when putting the plaster hardshell on, has to be flipped open when plugging in headphones. The port is already water resistant, although this does add dust resistance.Worth noting: As the S5 has Gorilla Glass, you're wasting your time and making your screen look worse if you use a screen protector. For that reason, I can't recommend the Otterbox Defender which has a screen protector built in. If your needs are so strong that you need that level of protection, you should be looking at other ways to communicate.Q Card Case Overall:The three-card capacity of the Q Card Case means I usually take my ID, a card, and my insurance card with me. Add a few bills, say if I need to leave a tip somewhere, and I have everything I need in one spot. There's almost no reason for me to take my full wallet anywhere. Even on a business trip to a major city, I found the Q Card Case was all I needed. It does take a bit to "break in" the case, but that's normal for a (faux) leather product. After a long weekend of use, I find the case works perfectly. I'd say you want 2 cards in for a "secure" fit, but 3 cards with an occasional 1-3 bills is the sweet spot.Otterbox Commuter Overall:It's like putting a flak jacket on a tank. The S5 is water resistant, its Gorilla Glass water resistant. The Commuter ups the water resistance while adding fall protection. This is enough security for a professional paranoid- maybe even too much. I really have nothing substantially negative to say about the commuter- if you're not considering a wallet replacement, the Commuter is the only other phone cover I'd consider.Summary:I'm going with the Q Card Case. The only real benefit of the Otterbox is enhanced fall protection, and a dust cover for the headphone jack. I moved to bluetooth headphones because I was tired of wires anyway, so that dust cover isn't much of a pro for me. The Q Card Case is also a wallet replacement, and I now use it exclusively, opening up a whole pocket. If I'm on a long trip, I store a battery tank (or, charging station) in my free pocket just to keep everything running.

Card Holder Worth Buying
Highlights: Holds DL, Bank Card, and a folded bill without any trouble. Good hard 360 hard protective case, and has a great audio sound tunnel. This sound tunnel is similar to what BOSE does. Because of the card holder in the back, the case diverts the back speakers sound to the front of the device. Essentially, If you like watching videos or music off your phone, you will have great sound coming at you rather than the sound being projected mainly away from you behind the phone. IE, people in front of you can hear the sound better than you can. (I hate this and also when you set the phone down the speaker would become muffled.)I know people are looking for a good phone case with a card holder for the SAMSUNG S5 and this is it. My wife uses it all the time when she does not want to take her purse but just the essentials.Con: There is no padding between the S5 and the case. The case is made totally of hard plastic, however with the aluminum frame on the S5 and the leather backing, this is not so much of a problem. This also does not come with a stand, so even though you want to watch a video (Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc) you still have to prop it up on something. If CM4 could add some surrounding padding inside the case and a quick folding stand, This would be the best card holding case out there on the market.

Excellent case, great quality
Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. He kept forgetting his wallet or losing his cards. He absolutely loves it, especially the gap for the speakerphone. Good quality, exactly as advertised. Sleek and slim and a great alternative to the folio cases. Worth the money.

Four Stars
Quality construction and materials. I wish it had a little more room for 1 or 2 more cards.
