GET YOU ONE! Necessity in my opinion.
I’m so incredibly happy with this purchase!!If you have a Domino, get this. NOW.This is an incredibly important addition to the DF500, at a really attractive price. It’s incredibly simple, but it really makes this so very easy when using the domino with plywood and for cabinets.Look up Peter Millard on youtube - he uses this for just about every bit of casework he makes.I bought this for a project and didn’t end up using it, but once I finally used this it was so incredibly easy to make precise joinery for Plywood without futzing with the fence on the domino. It also naturally gives you great support with the domino upside down using its full reference face (almost like the vertical support that Festool sells).I recently make a small cabinet with the Festool connectors and between this tool and their drilling jig, I was able to bang out a bunch of knockdown joints that were super strong in no time.If I had to list a couple of negatives they would be this: the Domino power switch is awkward with the machine upside down. It takes a little more effort to turn on upside down, and also sometimes makes the machine plunge forward a little while you try to turn it on.Also, the Dominplate can slide side to side a little (this has to do with captive screws), but it doesn’t mess up the reference/registration so it’s only a minor annoyance that doesn’t affect function.

Does exactly what it is made for.
Works very well to make a consistent and repeatable mortise. Saves set up time. If you spent all that money on a Domino, this is an inexpensive add on by comparison and totally worth the money.

Not totally perfect due to fact that you use the machine upside down, but definitely a time saver and very nicely made. Takes a few minutes to convert to alternate size material. Have used extensively with 3/4" plywood and saved a lot of time.

In my opinion this is a must have if you mainly work with 1/2" and 3/4" lumber. There is absolutely no setup time except to turn the plate over if necessary if switching from 1/2" to 3/4" lumber or vice versa. The plate attaches to your DF 500 with two screws which are included into the pre-drilled holes in the DF 500. Just check the screws for tightness occasionally, This seems to be a lot to pay but once you use it the time savings of setup, accuracy, and speed of repetitive use makes it well worth the cost. I just finished cutting almost 500 domino slots in 3/4" red oak for joining boards and it was a life saver!

NO GIMMICK it works
New owner of Domino and while it was nice I was having difficulty getting good consistent results. Im sure with more practice I would have worked out the bugs but felt it was worth the 60 something dollars to to risk it. Im glad I did slapped this baby on and away I went with much much more accurate tenons. Takes the learning curve out so you can focus on building stuff. I wish it fit in the systainer while still on the domino but thats not a Domiplate issue since it seems perfectly sized.

Who knew a chunk of aluminum could be so useful
This is a must have for anyone that does a lot of work with 1/2 inch or 3/4" material. I always fount it odd that fence height stop block has steps for 16 and 20 mm thick material but not for 12mm and 18mm since these are common plywood thicknesses. The Domiplate fixes that shortcoming. Sure you have to hold the Domino upside down but this really doesn't make it any more difficult to operate. Well worth the money.

This product was well worth the money. I work with a lot of three-quarter inch and a half inch material and this is a timesaver

Works great. Follow the instructions and it does what it says it can do. Be careful when not using true dimensioned wood as most plywood is off by a little bit. I use it mainly on 3/4" wood and it works great.
