Read other comments and was very scared to order these, two, due to sharp edges, odors, etc. It says that it is 18/8 stainless and dishwasher safe. The instructions said hand wash and keep away from heat sources. So you could imagine that I was relying on a purchase, test it out real good, and could return if not satisfied mentality. My father was a welder and I am very familiar with all the types and grades of aluminum and steels. So, check that box that mine are stainless. And, it is beautiful. It doesn't have sharp edges as others commented and I love the guard on top for ice retention. Also, it is really pretty against the other brushed stainless appliances in the kitchen. I have a very old shinny stainless pitcher that has a small dent and refuse to give it up. I was hoping to find a replacement for another residence and when people come over (no one wants to drink from a dented old pitcher - doesn't look horrible but still). I am very please with this pitcher and recommend it. I give comments to very few items a year, but thought this one deserved a positive comment to help the next person on the fence with a purchase. I am thrilled, think the price is fair for 18/8 stainless, and recommend it.

I do wish it had a lid on it but it does the job! I’m an iced tea drinker so I always have freshly brewed iced tea in this in the frig. Keeps it ice cold!!!

I wanted an everyday pitcher and this fits the bill. It looks nice, but not breakable like my glass pitcher.

Tastes like metal (of course) until you clean it a few times. A little clunky and off balance if you hold it level with your hand. It's not plastic (why I bought it). It's not glass (also why I bought it).

Perfect for large gatherings! Highly recommend!

Had been used a couple times. No rust spots but we do wipe them dry every time after use so maybe that helps. But overall happy with it

Excelente jarra, desde que llegó la uso con agua en el refrigerador, no gotea por condensado y enfría rapidísimo el agua. El tamaño para mi uso es ideal. Excelente compra.
