Drilled through hardened steel like butter using some tap magic.

Impressed
Was using a regular drill bit to drill out a screw and the drill bit broke and was stuck in the screw. Could not drill it out so bought this carbide bit and wow! The carbide bit did not care and drilled through the stuck bit like butter. There is a reason you pay for carbide after all.

Saved my bacon
Had the head snap off on a blade bolt on my John Deere. Off and on spent a few days trying different things including an extractor kit. Problem with the extractor kit is that I couldn't really get a dent into the remaining bolt. I bought this drill bit and after maybe 5-10 minutes of drilling I had enough to get an extractor head hammered in. The other reviews said it was fragile. Maybe so. It got the job done for me. If I had to buy another one to get out of the next pickle it would be worth the $10

Hit or Miss
I had stopped writing reviews but felt I needed to do one for these. Let me start by saying I have top of the line DeWalt and Milwaukuee Cobalt bits. When starting my drilling on this hardened steel, both brands snapped after hardly a scratch. A quick bit of internet research said I needed carbide bits. I ordered these. While waiting for them to show, I read a number of negative reviews here and was pretty nervous. These bits are magic. They have gone through my hardened metal without issue. Mind you, I am on the lowest speed setting and using oil. While being a bit pricey for the 3, I have no regrets.Update: I was a bit hasty in the above review as I had only used 2 of the 3. Sadly, when I chucked up the 1/16" bit and started on the same piece of Hardened steel, it shattered immediately just like in some of the other negative reviews. The fracture line was up the shaft. I thought perhaps I had found a "harder" section but chucked up the 3/32" in the same spot and saw curly fries with no effort. I wonder if there is a QC issue.

Drilled right through bolt then died
Used it once to drill out a non rusted regular Honda bolt that had broke, while it did the job well. very next time i used it it snapped in half. Tried to use the the half of the bit to clean up the hole a little snapped again. $20 for a single use drill bit :(

Worth every penny!
I've been trying to drill into a ball pein hammer and I bought a different drill bit that was supposed to be hard enough. It wasn't. It drilled a little divot, just the depth of the point on the bit. I was a little skeptical of the reviews for this bit, especially given the price. But I bought it. Let me tell you, the people that said "like a hot knife through butter" were not exaggerating! Absolutely worth every penny!!

Works well
Strong drill bit that I use to drill through steel plates

Right through hardened steel.
I used this bit in addition to a 1/8" pilot hole. Drilling with a typical dewalt 20 volt impact drill, I'm able to make it through the hardened steel on my rear bumper like nothing. They're pricey, but the only way to drill right. For best results, I've found that you must drill 300-500 rpm (1/4 ways in on the trigger roughly) and with a little oil of some kind, so you dont burn the bit down. This was all with me babying the bit, by the way.
