Fifteen Animals! (Boynton on Board)

As usual, with Sandra Boynton, I was pleased to find this particular book which addressed counting up to 15, particularly 11-15. My daughter-in-law, at our family Christmas get together, said that she wished that she had materials to help her daughter, my granddaughter, learn her numbers from 11-20. I am a former teacher and administrator and usually furnish many of the books, workbooks, and other learning materials that are needed at the different developmental levels of my grandchildren. I set out to find the best materials that Amazon sold that addressed this need. I was delighted to find another title by Sandra Boynton. My granddaughter and daughter-in-law love were very happy to receive Fifteen Animals and immediately recognized this author, format, and characters that are in the multitude of books that I have purchased from Amazon and have given to them. I imagine that this book was read yesterday after they got home. Thank you, Sandra Boynton; now, let's have a book that addresses more math skills and particularly, with counting 15-20. I would love to purchase a set of your books that address different counting skills-0-9,10-19, etc. I believe that many people would buy your books in the manner that I described. Many children need help in getting over the hurdle of understanding 'what happens in counting when I get to 20!'

Sandra Boynton will just put a smile on your face whatever age you are.AND the songs that go with her books .... AWESOME!!!Look them up and get them!!

I first read this book to three of my grandkids about 8 years ago. They were rolling on the floor with laughter the first time. Recently, my 13-year old grandson asked if I could read Fifteen Animals as I walked them to the guest room where they were staying. It never gets old. They "read along" without even seeing the book. They all shout out the last page. The fact that their Grandpa is named Bob doesn't hurt...I now buy a copy for any new babies in the family.

Love this book! I’m a preschool teacher and the kids ask for it by name!! I buy a copy for every baby shower I go to!!

I'll be ordering more copies of this book, for sure. If you're a fan of Sandra Boynton, you'll want a copy for kids who can almost count to 10 - this will get them to 15 in a fun way! (And anyone whose name is Bob will enjoy the book too - that's all I'll say, since I don't want to spoil the surprise.) There is also a song online that has all the words to this book, as well as songs for other Boynton books. (The website to hear it is written inside the front cover.)

As an adult I love this book and my two-year-old grandson adores this book as well. Even though I’ve read it to him, I’ve actually lost track of how many times I’ve read it to him, he laughs uproariously each time by the last page. Cleverly written, great graphics, and the story is ridiculously amusing.

I bought this thinking it was just another counting book. It isn't. Classic clever Boynton! The song to go with it is also brilliant.

With the dog counting book there would be 6 barks you’d have to say for 6, 7 yelps, so on and so forth. Kind of a chore for the adult with the repetition. This book just has one animal per page and also a humorous pattern of names for them all. Fun and funny little book. Quick read.

You cannot go wrong with the Sandra Boynton collection, the drawings are wonderful and the verses are perfect for the attention span of a child under the age of two.

I bought this and other books without knowing it. And I must say that it's by far better than expected and this one's the best. All the other Sandra Boynton books are already on my shopping list. Such lovely illustrations and simple but funny rhymes. :)
