Connie Goldsmith does a great job making difficult scientific topics interesting for kids. I particularly like her anecdotal information about people who suffered traumatic brain injuries--it puts a human spin on a topic that might otherwise be loaded with statistics. The images and graphics supplement Goldsmith's text perfectly. An easily digestible, thought-provoking read.
