This ultra bright led is not kidding. In fact I've used it to find my way out of North Maine Woods before therefore I carry it even in daytime in my camera pack cause you never know where you will end up and need light. I bought this to use with my Nikon D7000 as its an incredible DSLR but an exceptional video camera as well that has gotten raving reviews from even Hollywood! It's slides right into to top of camera light mount or hot shoe area and has a swivel lock to turn to lock it in place facing any direction. It's super bright and sends light out 170 degrees width and vertical since led lens is right flush with face. It comes with long lasting lithium very flat battery that goes right into back of light and charges rapidly with included charger. No other batteries will fit this light other then one that comes with it but then I saw it was an easy to order battery used in a lot of very thin ultra compact cameras.

I use it on my Canon 7D and it fits just fine. The rechargable battery is a huge plus. Because it is made of plastic, it feels light and that is fine by me since a 7D with a battery pack is heavy enough. The light is small and thus covers a decent area but (since these are so cheap) I plan on buying a few more and connecting then together. There is also no way to adjust the intesity or tempeture color of the light but I guess that has something to do with why these are so cheap. They seem ideal for doing quick or improvised interviews or basic night-time shooting.I have owned this product for 2 weeks and I have no other problems with this product as of writing this review.

This add on gives you a lot of light, maybe a little too much light actually. I purchased this after a hotshoe LED I had with a dimmer switch snapped as far as the connector. This has a lot of power and no dimmer switch. I bought it for shooting a Night Life Documentary but its too bright for some people even across the room. Now if I was shooting a fight sequence in a dark alley this is perfect actually. If I'm shooting from a high position like upstairs it works great. Then again I'm using a 35mm so they way I have to composition things is also contributing. Overall great for the size and the price in the right situation

Very legit light, especially for the price.Bright, Lightweight and Durable.It would've been nice to have a defuser option and/or a dimmer switch.The light can be very harsh and its all or nothin.(I used a few layers of scotch tape over mine, looks crappy but really helps smooth out the lighting)

This is a very good accessory for videography at places without good light. It has a good battery backup and the light is intense enough for the right effect as needed. However i was a lot dissapointed with the fact that the Hot shoe attachment does not fit a Sony Alpha flash mount. I had to to use the bracket provided in the package which is pretty cumbersome. So be careful when purchasing this.

This is kind of expensive for what it isThe light is extremely bright, actually blinding. You dont want anyone looking into the light at any time.It only lasts 60 minutes which is nothing compared to most cameras. You may not keep your camera on constantly for 60 minutes but it should be longerThere is no turning down of the light. Its just constantly blindingly bright.I will find this very useful for focusing in dark conditions, but it will not really work for portraits unless you want to annoy the model.I hope they re-release this with power settings..it is way to bright. Then it can last more than 60 minutes also.

I was looking for video light for my Canon 5D Mark II. What attracted me most in this one is that it's rechargeable by electricity so no need for batteries (which equals extra space and weight), and it's bright enough for my needs (interviews). I don't know if it's enough to cover the room but for one person being interviewed (as well as for few people at the table or wherever, for home video), it is just perfect. Didn't have chance to see how long it goes on, but simple fact that it's so small and light (slides into the pocket) bought me at first sight.
