Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This desk is okay--but I was hoping for a more stable surface. This one wobbles more than I like--especially when it is raised up to its two tallest settings. Perhaps this is common with adjustable surfaces like this. The bottom piece is heavy so I'm not concerned that I'll push it over. I just don't like much the top moves around. Please view the video for my complete review. Also please note that in the video the stand is on a small desk but it wobbles just as much when it is placed on a heavy table or even the floor.

While I own several standing desk tops, this is my favorite
There are a number of really nice adjustable desk tops now available, but this is perhaps the most portable high quality standing desk that I have found. I have a number of issues that make it necessary for me to stand at times while I read or write: RLS, a severe sleep disorder that causes me to fall asleep far too easily, lower back issues that causes pain if I sit too long (I find it oddly comforting that Thomas Jefferson invented a standing desk in order to alleviate lower back pain). What makes this particular desktop so useful is that on the one hand it is extremely well made for a portable desktop and on the other hand is extremely easy to use and set up. I want to stress that this isn't a particularly large standing desk, but it will easily accommodate al laptop, a mouse, and a book or other small items. This is, in short, a first rate and extremely versatile desktop. I was even able to put it inside two of my backpacks, one made by Targus and the other a Swiss Army pack. I need to be clear, however: this will fit in only the very largest pack intended for use with a laptop. Most packs will be too small to carry it. I use this inside my house, moving it from one of three spots that I have that are appropriate for typing while standing up. I strongly recommend this for anyone who needs a versatile adjustable laptop standing work area.

Great Concept! Well-made, and Portable! ...a little on the heavy side (18 pounds)
Great concept and execution! This portable, height adjustable laptop desk is an outstanding addition to the world of adjustable desks. This would be an excellent gift for a businessperson who travels but prefers a standing desk at the office. It would work nicely at a hotel, coffee shop, etc. Perhaps not great for flying though. The nice part about this is the ease of adjustment and the locking mechanism which allows for several height positions. It's also very sturdy and large enough to hold a 17 inch laptop. The 15 inch laptop fits nicely with room for an external USB mouse beside the computer. I do wish it had a carrying case with a shoulder strap, but perhaps I'm asking too much for the price. Also, while sturdy, it is also a little heavy at 18 pounds, which is not exactly light and easy to carry, especially for people with back, shoulder, arm, or hand issues. However, if it were much lighter, I don't know that I would trust it to securely hold an expensive laptop. This is well made and well thought out. Way to go Supermoon.

Not What I Expected
This item is not what I expected. When it says it can adjust to any height, I expected something that could be used standing up or from a chair. Instead, I guess it is intended to be used on a desk or table, to provide an elevated platform. So, I don't have much use for it. In addition, it has extremely sharp corners, I'm talking very sharp and dangerous. We put some protective corners for babies on the corners of it. They look ridiculous, but at least people are no longer getting injured by it. Overall, not impressed.

Pleasantly surprised! I love this thing. Really well made and does the job!
I found this at HomeGoods for $49.99 and I wasn’t shopping for it at all. But I had been looking for a solution for my work for a while, so this instantly peaked my interest. I have a large standing desk in my cube at work, but since it weighs a TON, it’s not really portable. With my job, I spend a lot of time in a co-located team room that changes from project to project, so I’m not in my cube all the time. And these team rooms are not remotely ergonomic, so I was looking for a well made “portable” standing desk solution for when I have to work there, that was also inexpensive, since I already had another larger, fancy standing desk.It is heavy to carry (about 18 lbs), but does have a handle. It might not be heavy for a man or someone larger than I am. (I’m 5’ 5”, but very petite). However, it’s infinitely more portable than my other one which weights a TON! However, it would be too heavy to carry to a different spot everyday, but for a set up you’ll have for several weeks, it works well.It doesn’t have a very big footprint, which I like, and seems very well made. I think the reason that it’s heavy is that it needs to be to be stable. Some reviewers said it is wobbly but I didn’t notice that. If I push hard enough, of course it’s going to wiggle, but with regular use, it seems extremely stable to me. It also looks really elegant, and has a really nice design - fairly minimal I think for what it needs to do.I have a 15-inch MacBook Pro and there’s enough room for a mouse to my right. Additionally, I can use a metal laptop stand (that props up the laptop so the monitor is higher) with it and that leaves room for a Mac keyboard and mouse, and the whole thing still feels really stable.I also really like that it has so many height settings, so if I’m in a tall chair, or using it at a tall table, there are plenty of options to find the right height.Overall, I’m super pleased with this thing, and I went in kind of skeptical. And I’m also a designer, so I’m pretty picky. I got the black one with matte aluminum arms, as it was the only color available - I would have preferred the all aluminum one - but I actually looks really elegant.Overall this thing is really well made, and well designed. If you’re looking for something that you can carry with you from meeting to meeting, this isn’t for you, as it’s too heavy. But if you need something portable in the sense that you will keep it up for a few weeks at a time, then move it somewhere else, this is great. It will also fold away easily, when you don’t need it anymore. You can fold it flat and lean it against the wall or slide it under your desk. I kind of love this thing.
