This lighter feels well-made, worked straight out of the box and, after a few weeks of use a couple of times a day, still maintains a full charge.This is wonderful. Much better than the matches I was using previously.Great item, well built, and produces a really good arc which easily lights large wick candles.A great lighter, I use it for lighting my gas hobs and it saves having to try and refill a lighter when it runs out!But I have to say that even if it has a child lock, I still can't let my child use it alone.

I bought 2 of these for the 4th of July - I wanted a way to light fireworks without having to use a stick lighter or punk. They DO work to light firework fuses and even sparklers. However, the fuses burning at ignition did cause some buildup (carbon?) on the lighter. The buildup made the electrical arc weaker so I kept having to clean off the buildup. A stiff wire brush worked best. Additionally they do run out of charge fairly quickly IMO. These were brand new and I fully charged them before we started - I'd say each stick was good lighting roughly 30-40 fireworks before the charge was gone.

It worked amazing until after the first charge. It died and didn’t work anymore. It’s junk.

I bought this because i was tired of going to the drug store and buying a lighter every time i wanted to light my candles, worth every penny. It's rechargeable, it has a safety lock so no one can play with it and harm themselves, and it lasts a very long time per one charge!

Bought to light backyard fires but it doesn't get things, even newspaper, going as well as I expected. If you are looking for something for indoor candles, this will probably work. But, you may need to charge it after 10-15 candles.

I bought this mainly to light candles in my apartment and I wanted an option other than using matchsticks or lighters. I was really impressed with how fast and easy it is to use and all you need to do is recharge with a usb cable (the one that comes in the package is tiny though). The battery seems to last a long time too. Also love the fact that you can bend the cable to fit inside longer candles without burning yourself.

Bought this mainly to light candles as my SO tends to burn herself quite often.I didn't have high hopes as it looks pretty cheap but I've had no problems with it so far.To light it up, you need to push the switch forward and then push, which makes it childproof.I don't know how long this is gonna last, but so far I'm pretty satisfied!

I got this because my bbq lighter broke. It's just not long enough to get in there and light it. It will light it eventually, when the propane fills the grill enough. But then the bbq will singe all the hair off your arm.
