Understanding Medical Surgical Nursing 5th Edition

So happy I bought this book. It was only 30 so I figured it would be a very slimmed down overview of the med-surg book. However it is large and in charge. While it does not directly correlate with my coursework I knew that when i bought it. I wanted a physical book to be able to quickly find information for hw or research and not have to be clicking through a computer screen. It just helps me grasp concepts a little bit more to see the words in person instead of on a screen. The book was undamaged and again I am pretty excited with the purchase considering how much the other books cost. Again it is not part of my coursework so I still have to read my books but I use this to just reinforce that knowledge.

Required text for nursing class and it reads a lot better than past required text I have had before. The chapters point out ways to educate patients and special nursing interventions for each disease. I also like it because it talks about what was standard practice in the past and why it has changed. Really did not mind spending the money on this one!

Required by my nursing program but have been using for the past 2 months and is a great wealth of information. The online NCLEX style questions and podcasts have helped with some of the areas I have been weak in. Would recommend for any nursing students.

I love this book! It is a requirement for my nursing school program, but I have found this book to be a great tool. It contains information about nursing theory, nursing diagnosis, anatomy & physiology, a little pharmacology (like the names of medicines to treat the different diseases within the body system of study), and more, all wrapped up in one text. This was a great purchase for me!

I love this book. Its not the book I need for my BSN program but it’s easy to read & understand!

This book is one of the better ones. It was easy to follow along with and it provided many opportunities to test your learning (ie. questions at the end of the chapter/discussion points).

Do you have the Fundamentals book? Well this is the same size. Be scared. The abbreviations and terminology have been very handy so far but we haven't started using the body of the text yet. Once I've had to use it more I'll see if I remember to come back and edit my review : )
