Blowing off a little stream
This is a great little fan and I'm very happy with this purchase. I recently repainted our master bathroom and realized that much of the old paint crackling was due to moisture from the shower. For some reason, size maybe, the builder of our older home didn't install a exhaust fan in this bathroom. I thought of installing one but the amount of plaster and electrical work was too much. The easiest way to exhaust shower steam would be a window fan so I started my search. We have older aluminum framed horizontal slider window and most of the window mounted fans were all just a little too big to fit. So I searched for a smaller fan and found this one. It fits neatly in the window when I shower and the power cord was just the right length to reach the only power outlet available. It works well on both speeds with very little vibration so it holds securely on the sill. It is also very quiet even on the higher speed. It's fairly sturdy but I wouldn't want it to fall off the sill as it is plastic and could crack or fracture. Considering the cost of this fan vs an installed ventilation, I could replace this one many times over and still be ahead money wise. For the price & quality this is a winner for me.

Cheap and does the job
Two speeds and they are a little loud which is great because I like the noise for sleeping in all seasons. Light weight and good air flow.

Perfect size. Not too loud. Move a lot of air!
Perfect size. I love that there are 2 speed options. But it's a little louder than my other fans. I purchased 2 of these, for the bedroom that my 2 youngest sons share. We have windows that open vertically, and there is a cat door in their window, so the space available between the cat door and the window when it's open is very small. These fit perfectly when I lay them on their sides. As a bonus, they hold the window in place nicely! They're not loud enough to scare the cats, and they create great "white noise" for my sons to sleep to. But during the day, the tv has to be turned up a little louder to hear it over the hum. The fan is MUCH quieter than the A/C, though!!

Great little window fan!
This little 10" fan certainly does a nice job of cooling our three season room which is approximately 18' x 18'. We put it on the window sill, in the morning to bring the cool air in and turn it around to take the warm air out late in the day. High speed does moves the air in/out at a quicker pace, but we tend to run it on low. This fan also has feet so it can stand on a table, desk or counter. It's pretty quiet too. Hopefully, it will last for a few seasons...the price was reasonable at $15.

Replacement for my Optimus F-1022 10" Electric Fan
I bought my Optimus F-1022 10" electric fan about 10-15 years ago. It was finally wearing out. It is such a good, hard-working little fan and I despaired of finding a replacement that was just as good. I found this Optimus F-1022 10" Electric Fan on Amazon and I was thrilled. I opened the box when it arrived, and it was the exact twin of my old fan. Plugged it in and I was in business again. I will use my old fan as backup. This fan is nothing fancy, one switch: off, low, high. Clean, trim style. This fan does the job with no fuss. I highly recommend it.

Not superb, but it does the job!
Make no mistake, this fan is LOUD, even on the lowest setting. Still, you do get used to it as background noise fairly quickly, and it hasn't presented any real problems for me during phone calls or watching movies or similar.I keep it on the windowsill in front of the open window right next to my desk in my room, so it blows fresh air right on me when I'm working - this has been invaluable throughout this summer in my A/C-less house. One of the features I like best is that the control switch is on the front of the fan, not the top, so while it's wedged between the window and the windowsill, I don't have to mess with the window or change the fan's position if I need to change the speed or turn it on/off. It's also narrow enough from side to side that I can still fit a few little plants on the windowsill, which is great. One minor annoyance (though ultimately not a dealbreaker) is that the unit itself is a bit too "deep" (in terms of the front-to-back measurements) to fit snugly inside my window frame, but luckily my windowsill is deep enough to support it on the bottom while the half-raised window holds the top of the fan in place. For the price (I got it at just over $11, much cheaper than a conventional window-mountable fan), it does the trick nicely enough. Would have loved more features (especially reversible direction and a quieter sound) but if the time comes when I need those features badly enough, I'll get a window-mounted fan and retire this little guy to the kitchen or similar.

Works very well for the price.
This fan is perfect size for my bedroom. I put right on me at night and it's fairly quiet and not too strong in my face. Worth the price for what I use it for.

Both settings are loud
This fan isn't quiet. Which works great if you want some background white noise. I primarily use it to vent out my window (so my medicine doesn't stink up the house).
