Very Informative
This was a very informative book. I read it from start to finish the day I bought it. Only thing I wish is that I'd bought it BEFORE we had peacocks to care for. The author covered a lot of bases that I hadn't even thought about. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is considering raising or fostering peacocks.

Peacock plethora of information
The book has every iota of information on peacocks. Gave to a friend who just began raising the huge birds. She was pleased with the book and information. Hers have grown in 6 months to huge pterodactyl size. Great information for beginner breeders.

Superb first book on peacocks.
Really liked this book. A peacock adopted me and I knew nothing about them. I purchased two books and this one was superior to the other one.It is not an advanced book for a serious breeder, but then few of us so aspire. I recommend it.

My wife loves the book.
My wife volunteers at a local animal sanctuary. She was put "in charge" of a mating pair and has used the book extensively.

Could this be plagiarized book on Peacocks or 'PLR' copies? Otherwise, good book ...
I was seriously investigating raising peacocks and was looking for a few good, but simple to read and understand, book or two on raising peacocks.First - the book(s) read very simply, like someone who had grown up on a farm or had a high school education and really strived to right the content properly. Some of the content actually seemed to be sourced from encyclopedias or even perhaps Wikipedia. I didn't get the impression that the majority of it was written by one person. Having said that, the majority of the content was useful, and it helped me make a decision to not pursue peacock breeding or raising because the book ended up convincing me it would be too hard for the amount of effort required to go into breeding and raising peacocks.Second, I purchased two books - with different authors and different front covers. Finished the first book cover to cover and then started reading the second book and ... hmmm ... something interesting is going on there.Imagine my dismay that I had wasted my money on an almost duplicate book for content. The books are either PLR (Private Label Rights) books that are content sold by an original content producer, then sold to authors who are to 'change it up a bit' then resell the content with new covers.OrThere is a serious copyright or plagiarism issue going on with one of the authors (maybe more, who knows?). I have a sample of Chapter Seven on both books and if you are able to see the tiny images, there are full paragraphs that are word-for-word to each other. LITERALLY FULL PARAGRAPHS throughout both books are word-for-word copy and paste.Third, if this is plagiarism, then authors should be made aware someone has stolen your work.If this is PLR - then shame on both authors for not adding new content and changing up the content and using other folks content to produce copies of books on Amazon.
