The (second) best purchase I made in 2019
Last year, (whoop, two years ago now what?) when the weather started fluctuating, I started to get worried about my instruments' humidification. Not unreasonably it seems as, once i got a decent digital hygrometer into my house, i was horrified with the results. I actually bought two: One analog and one digital. I spent about 30 bucks for the privilege. On a whim, i decided to buy these little guys for my instrument cases. I didn't think they would be very good, but I have been wrong. They nearly match my more expensive digital hygrometer and they are much more responsive than the more expensive analog one.. I put a few in some cases of pricier instruments and have peppered the rest in all the rooms of my house. They are consistently precise when i put them in the same room, for example, and I have found them to have very good accuracy. The batteries are button batteries and wear out fairly quickly but I have found them cheap to replace. If I had it to do again, I might have just bought these and skipped the 30 dollar trip to the hardware store. I really had no idea how dry it really gets in the winter shadow of my house until i looked. Glad I looked when i did. Honestly, I had no idea that humidification during that time would help me personally as much as it did. I expected my instruments to be okay, but that was also the first year i didn't get sick for a month since i've lived in this house. I couldn't have guessed how much the air quality would affect me. Nice tools to have carried into the year 2020 where air quality seemed to be one of those things that people were suddenly thinking about.

Herbal Drying Must Have
Ok. Yes. So I bought them for what everyone probably buys them for. Although I have also used these for other kinds of harvested herbs. They work great, fit in any mason jar from cup to gallon, and are easy to read even from across the room. A must have for your drying purposes, and with five in a pack a good value. Also handy for monitoring your room humidity, which is useful during a Maine winter. Comes with batteries in and each one already active. Individually packaged within the original box.

Accurate, small and cheap... for a while.
These arrived all reading within 1-2 degrees and 1-2 percent humidity of one another. I handled one in my hand and the humidity from my hand made the hyrgrometer jump up 5 percent. I left it to sit for ten minutes and it returned to normal. I've used these in low (30 percent) and higher (75 percent) humidity and it remained accurate. When compared to a full sized digital hyrgrometer/thermometer that is known to be accurate, these were right on the money. I was impressed. These are what you want for jarring dry goods, just put one in a sealed clear glass jar with your product and you can easily monitor the RH and temp. I sometimes put two in a jar just to be sure one or the other isn't off. They've remained consistent for over a month.Update: after 6 months one is now reading +10% humidity and another seems to be a few percent off as well. Still worth the purchase.

Right on the money!
I had earlier purchased five similar Chinese hygrometers off eBay. Advertised as having degrees in Fahrenheit, they were in Celsius. They were also missing the vent holes on the back that actually allow the air to hit the sensor to accurately ready humidity levels - which is why all five had varying readings that were off by as much as 8%. They were TERRIBLE. I just received these Rojuna hygrometers and ran the 75% humidity check in a pyrex dish with a rubber seal (that I use as a "tupperdor" for my daily cigars). All five of these hygrometers read exactly 75% and had temperature readings that were all within +/- 0.2 degrees of each other and were perfectly consistent with my Taylor room thermo/hygo that has an attached, wired sensor. Still mass-produced Chinese hygrometers, but these appear to be of a much higher caliber for what they are. I'm very please with these - they are used for somewhat important uses: cigar humidity monitoring (for the cheaper daily smokes) and guitar case humidity monitoring for high-end Martin and Taylor acoustic guitars. Highly recommended.

Mostly good - but a bit on the cheap side
When I received them, one no longer worked and two of them are a bit off in temp and humidity readings - with no way to adjust. For the price and what they are, they are ok - just not super accurate.

Inexpensive and Accurate
Perfect for our needs. I want to keep track of the humidity in different rooms throughout the house as we live in a temperate rainforest. These are accurate and agree with our other humidity gauge. Mold can be an issue in this environment and these should help us keep track of where we might have potential problems.

I was skeptical
They arrived when promised, I placed all 5 in the same spot to see if they all worked and were reporting the same data. They all worked the data was slightly off from one to the next, the temps were slightly off from one to the next but not more than .04 with temp between all of them with tempsture and not more than 1 % either - or + between them. All in all great price and I can live with the very slight variations
