BARSKA 10x25 Pink Porro Binoculars

Alaska bound family trip this summer - pink binoculars were the perfect gift for granddaughter…no sharing binoculars and they are PINK!! She loved them!

I gave these to my 5-year-old as a birthday present. They fell apart within hours. She loves them, and was very disappointed when they broke. They aren't terribly difficult to put back together, but they'll fall apart again quickly with the normal jostling they receive from being used by children. I just tried adding some super glue in hopes of a more permanent fix.The image quality is not great, but good enough for a child to enjoy all the things they can now see close up. I was actually pretty impressed by the magnification. You'll definitely want to point these out the window or go outside to try them out on objects farther away. They are sized about right for a 5-year-old's hands. The one thing hard for a child to do is turn the focus knob far enough. It takes several full rotations to move the focus from close to far, so you might need to help a child get it in the ballpark initially.I also suggest mounting the strap directly to the binoculars with the split-rings and throwing away the provided clips. The cheap clips fell off almost immediately.

I bought these for my niece when she was about 4 and she loved using them to glass deer and turkeys with us. Only trouble was that the eye pieces are pretty small so she kept wanting to use the other end. She still had fun, but now that she's a little older, she definitely has got the hang of them.

I was looking for a starter binnocular for my 7 year old daughter so that she could bird watch with grandpa. The color pink has her hooked! Both her and I are impressed with the magnification power and quality considering the low price. However, there are some cheap components. The hooks for the strap are very tiny and flimsy. And the shell around set seems to be coming loose. If they last a year, I'd be surprised. But then again, after a year, I will definitely have gotten my money's worth!

These binoculars are cheap, pink and sturdy - precisely what you need for little children. Our 3 year old one really likes them, plays around with them, sometimes even uses them correctly. Optics is ok - not comparable to real good binoculars, but things are magnified when you look through them, and focus works fine. So if your little ones want pink binoculars, go for them. But I cannot recommend them for anybody looking for a more serious purpose or older kids (over 10 years old).

These binoculars are appealing to young girls and the optical quality is fine for kids. However, the clip that attaches each end of the strap to the binocular is so flimsy that a seven-year-old holding the binocular with both hands and tugging a bit sprung the clip and sent the binocular falling on the floor. The optics were permanently damaged so that the view was skewed. Another problem is that the focusing ring is too stiff for a child's index finger to turn it effectively, so that an adult has to adjust it for her. If you're birding with your child this is a nuisance. If you buy this item be sure to purchase a different strap or replace the clips with something stronger.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my daughter. The strap comes off easily and then end up on the floor. I replaced both the strap hooks but it was too late as the plastic casing had cracked and it went downhill quickly from there... the casing soon came off and then one of the lenses fell out. Now, I'm not the best at fixing things, but I do alright, but I could not and cannot get that lens back into place. So now we have a monocular.

They have an odd way of focusing, but once you get used to them they are ok. Wish they folded out just a little more, the size is more for a little girl. Anyway they will stay the way I focused them because I guarantee my husband will not be tempted to use them.

Pretty decent quality as well. The case is a bit too tight though...looks like a after thought. Could also use a thinker strap.

Generally poor optics. Right and left eye pieces do not line up exactly. Very narrow field of view. Very difficult for child to use successfully.

These are sooo cute! And the right size. I needed something for horseback riding and these will be perfect. Easy to assemble and use

I sent the item back. There was no adjustment foe distance between the two eyes so one could look with both eyes.It hardly magnified. It was just a toy. MZ
