DreamWorks Dragons, Dragon Riders, Astrid & Stormfly Figures

My daughter LOVES this toy! She packs it with her everywhere and has had it now for two months. I'd read reviews of the tail coming off, so asked her from the get-go if she wanted me to glue the tail, but she opted not to glue, saying the shooting tail is a key feature, but after about a month of her worrying she was going to lose the tail when she took it outside, she asked me to glue it (Gorilla glue). She says it's held up well and she's glad she decided to glue.

We got this along with the Hiccup/Toothless set so some of this review is based on having both toys side by side. My almost 4 year old daughter loves that there is an Astrid toy- so many companies don't include the girl figures! And Stormfly is her favorite dragon. The toys have held up well in regular play from a bunch of kids between 2 and 4 years old and everyone loves them. A few points that added up to not being quite a 5 star toy- the stormfly mouth doesn't open, even though it really looks like it's going to. Compared to the Toothless toy which does have an articulated mouth, this really bugs the kids. There was at least one temper tantrum with the 2 year old insisting the mouth would open if we just did it right. Also, the shooting tail… This isn't related to the dragon's movie character, and is sort of an extra weird feature. We lost the tail projectile about 2 minutes after we opened it, and while no one really misses it, it would have made more sense to have a working mouth and a connected tail. We all like how the dragons from all these sets can play together and the characters can ride interchangeably.

It was everything my grandson wanted and more. He is only two but LOVES, How to Train you Dragon figures.So glad I found it on Amazon.

Bought this as a gift for my 6 y/o birthday. It came broken. The tail is supposed to "click" in the back and when you push the button it pops out. This one didn't. So, we sent it back to Amazon and promptly received another. Same story, the tail does not "click" into the back so now we have a tail less dragon. My six y/o asked not to send it back again. So, don't waste your money unless you are OK with getting a broken product.

The young lady who received this as a gift was screaming with joy. These are hard to find and she was thrilled

Took a chance on this set despite poor reviews on the other related sets, because my Granddaughter loves this movie so much. Unfortunately Astrid fell apart in our hands before even beginning to play with her. Her bodice opens easily causing her arms and legs to fall out. Since she comes with a dragon with a saddle, I assumed she could be made to ride the dragon - unfortunately her legs/body and the dragon's saddle don't match up. There's no way to have her sit on her dragon without popping her legs out. This was expensive but the quality and design didn't meet expectations.

So far, as so many others have mentioned, the tail mechanism is wonky. It got lost when it shot off on its own while my daughter was walking on the sidewalk. I later found it in a bush. I thought she must've tripped it without realizing it... until I saw it with my own two eyes, at rest on the bed with no-one near it, shoot off onto the floor. So unless my house is haunted, this thing doesn't work properly. I've suggested gluing it so it doesn't get lost, which is inevitable, but the 6yo refuses. Oh well. Its days are numbered. The 6yo also commented about the tail not being a good representation of Stormfly's actual tail, but I can't speak to that because I haven't paid enough attention to the show.

This item is for my daughter. This is all she wanted from Santa Claus. She will play lots with it. Cool that the spine shots work. I've not tried it as I wanted to leave it in the box till my daughter opens it.

Our toddler has wanted this dragon & figure for a while now.... after hunting for it we found it here, HOORAY!!! We will have a very happy little boy when he gets it for his birthday in a couple of months. The dragons are well made for the price & the delivery was excellent from the seller. Very Happy Customers.

Unsere Tochter ist 5 Jahre alt und liebt Drachenzähmen. Daher haben wir uns entschlossen ihr Ohnezahn mit Hicks, Hackenzahn mit Rotzbacke und eben den hier dargestellten Sturmpfeil mit Astrid zum Geburtstag zu schenken. Leider wurde uns ein defekter Drache zugeschickt. Die Schwanzspitze rastete nicht ein. Ich habe dem Verkäufer eine e-Mail mit dem Problem verfasst und noch am selben Tag eine Antwort bekommen. Es sei wohl ein Herstellungsfehler (kann ja mal passieren). Er hat uns ohne weiteres ein neues Modell zugesandt. Fünf Tage später war es da.Unsere Tochter spielt mit nichts anderem!
