Best Tent Camping: Colorado: Your Car-Camping Guide to Scenic Beauty, the Sounds of Nature, and an Escape from Civilization Paperback – November 20, 2012

I have the fourth edition which is very good. But I was hoping the fifth edition would be a revised text on the camp grounds, but it isn't. He only added three new campgrounds and eliminated one other. So much has changed in the campgrounds with all the forest fires and beetle kill that I was really hoping for updated information since the fourth edition is already 7 years old. The areas we visited from his book were much different than the book relates for these reasons. Just wish he had re-visited and re-written the book to reflect current state of affairs.

This book explains the camp sites much better than the above book. It gives you a better idea what the campground looks like and what is in the vicinity. We liked the directions to the campgrounds.

Very informative for the few campgrounds listed... Would be so much better if it were a comprehensive guide of less well-known campgrounds too, especially those near to busy campgrounds.

This book has all the campgrounds but the maps could be better It will come in handy when I plan a backpacking trek in CO

I wanted to take a camping road trip, and this was really helpful, recommend this to anyone wanting to find some beautiful regions in Colorado

This book helped point is to smaller campgrounds that we may not have homed in on due to Colorado having so many choices in campgrounds.

Lots of great tips on good tent camping in CO. Nicely organized, so info is easy to locate, even while en route. Wish I had had this book years ago!
