Rachel Ama's Vegan Eats: Tasty Plant-Based Recipes for Every Day

Authentic Afro-Caribbean Plant-based GOODNESS
Loved this book. The recipes are not only tasty, but are healthy. Rachel seems to have also thought about cost effectiveness, because we all know some vegan recipes can ask for crazy ingredients. The recipes are delicious, great, and easy to follow. I’m looking forward to making more recipes from this cookbook book 📖 🤗. Btw the Jamaican beef patties isn’t a recipe in her book. Everything else is 🤗

I really wanted to love this book...
I really like watching Rachel's videos, and I had high expectations for this book, but unfortunately it was underwhelming. First of all, I assumed (and my fault for that) that this would be a US version, it is not. I could have overlooked that, but the recipes don't really excite me. A lot of things feel like something I have see on her YouTube show and don't really seem "new" or much different. I was also surprised that she was using tofu cream cheese in a few recipes, since she doesn't eat soy. Giving this a 3, because I really liked the pictures, color, and bits or personality by way of a song suggestion on each page. Sadly, I'll be returning, which is really sad considering it's gonna cost me 5 bucks on my refund. Oh well, you live and learn. Next time I will wait for more reviews before ordering from a new cookbook author.

Very Disappointed!
I gave the book two stars for the marketing layout, but for the content...it was a big let-down and left something to be desired. I had high expectations but was very disappointed. There was a lot of grilled eggplant (augbergine), or something like that)...then there was alot of recipes using different types of bread and alot of stuff was grilled and "peanuts abound." I thought if I turn the page and see another peanut recipe I will shoot myself! What happened to the "quick and delicious" recipes we see on the internet? At first I was going to suck it up and keep the book but I decided to return the book because there were no recipes that excited me and was interested in making. I can choose which recipes I want to download and create my own personalized book when she posted different videos...it was a real let-down and a disappointment...sorry sis...not my cup of tea!

Good book
I like the recipes on this book. The flavours are great. Am giving it a 3 star only because the recipes make large quantities. For example the Mayo recipe make a lot but it can only be stored for 3 days. Otherwise it’s a great book

VERY TASTY RECIPES
I love food full with flavor! With this book, you will get that. As with most cookbooks, you will find a few of the same recipes that's available on the Internet, however they have Rachel's personal touch. It's all about the spices.Overall, the majority of her recipes are different with Caribbean and African influences. There are a lot of recipes in this book. I am very happy with my purchase.

The book looks nice and we will see what it has to offer soon.
This book has some strange recipes but I am willing to try them and support my sister. I gave her four stars because I a very slightly disappointed and expected more so she does get four for effort. I will be cooking one of her recipes and see how that comes out. I should have waited to score her but..........I didn't so I am mostly basing this on the overall visual of the book and the wording.

R.A.V.E - a Love Story
So I’ve been flirting with Veganism for some time now, nothing too too serious - a couple dinner dates etcNow, don’t get me wrong, I have no issues with commitment but I was searching far beyond eye candy or the average “snack” I was in need of substance in my consumption!I thought it’s probably best to take a step back and if the right thing was to come, then it wouldn’t feel forced - but as natural as the wholesomeness I so desired...and that’s when I crossed paths with Rachel’s love book (R.A.V.E) soon after, my sweet but hollow snacks became nutritious vibes and the aesthetically pleasing eye candy elevated into Soul Sustenance and I haven’t looked back sinceA lift of a book, uplifted my spiritThank you Rachel ❤️

Best vegan cookbook I own (and I have a lot)
This book does not disappoint and I haven't even tried a recipe yet. The pages are vibrant and energizing which match the flavours. What I love most about this cook book is that it does not waste time indulging the ego of the writer and gets straight to it - focusing on the ingredients and the food itself. The recipes are laid out in a simple way which are easy to scan while you are cooking and very easy to follow - which is fantastic for someone who has a memory like a sieve like myself. Unlike a lot of my cookbooks which end up at the back of the cupboard, barely used, I can already see that I will be making at least 70% of these recipes and this book will be pride of place on my counter-top until the recipes are committed to memory. This book has also already inspired me to experiment more with flavours - not just with the imaginative food combinations but with the subtle suggestions littered throughout. Why not try this, or that next time, she says :) Rachel Ama, I applaud you. Thank you for this gift to the world and making my xmas shopping that much easier come December. Love, love, love this book and will be sharing with everyone in my life who mistakenly think plant based living is just too difficult

One of the best vegan cookbook
I loved this book, I’ve already done the mini croissants and I want to try at least 85 % of the recipes ( which for me is a lot of them). I also loved that at the end of the book Rachel wrote about her ways of replacing eggs and how to make all types of plant based milks.

Genuinely inspiring vegan cookbook
As a recent vegan convert I was really struggling to plan out meals and eat enough to stop being hungry. This book is practical and inspiring, with a ton of great recipes that taste brilliant. No one is pretending that a vegan life is effortless - but in my view the little bit of extra planning and effort is more than worth it. There are loads of ingredients and combinations that I had never considered either. What makes it really cool is being able to see the YouTube channel as well. Thank you Rachel for writing this excellent book. I thoroughly recommend it.
