Our old, very common, water dispensers are leaking a bit nowadays. Probably due to the warmer weather - the vacuum in the top of the housing will change according to temperature, so with the larger difference between day and night temperatures there's always a wet patch under them. Time for something else...These caught my eye because they seem to reasonably well designed but the only descriptive review gave them 1 star. Nevertheless, they are cheap enough to try anyway, and if they are pants it's no great loss (but useful to find out what not to buy next).As it turned out I found they are excellent. There were, of course, no instructions but it was pretty easy to figure it out. They are designed to fit on wire mesh (as you can see in the photos) and need a bit extra in the way of plumbing to actually be useful, but once that's sorted out the only thing to do is set the level at which they shut off.The damp patch in the photos is just where they overflowed before I set the adjustment. In a practice run (in the kitchen sink) they worked well, stopping when they should and dribbling in to fill up when depleted. Not a lot more you can ask from them!The one question I have is what to do about algae. The tubes are going to be a right pain to keep clean, and the (far more expensive) bucket-with-hangers style is probably easier to maintain. On the other hand, these lend themselves to a remote feed, which was a primary requirement for the upgrade.

Awful cheap plastic. Not able to do the function its described . Total waste of money. And to return is a nightmare costs more money.

They work pretty well and would be fit for use but they didn't send the plastic mounting screw's, and so i cannot mount them.

Good buys
