NASCAR Dirt to Daytona - PlayStation 2

Good game the gas pedal is the right stick took some getting used to but works well the challenge mode is super hard and couldint get aything better than bronze but career mode is just the right diffulculty not so hard that its frustating and not to easy that you win every race it s probably where you will spend most of your time in the game after every race you earn an amount of money dependant on how well you did and what sponsers you had and you use it to purchase new upgrades to make your car faster and handle better at the end of the season you have the chance to advance to the next circut depending on how well you did for the year overall it is super fun and really enjoyed the upgrade system

Absolute best nascar game ever. For ps2, graphics good, number of "big names" is good for a game of this vintage, and the racing physics and damage are accurate for the most part. Hands down the best feature is the ability to start a career with basically nothing, build your car and team, and advance from a nobody on county fair dirt tracks to a superstar in the Winston cup. Another major positive is local split screen multiplayer. It's only for two players, and for one race at a time only, but sure beats the no multiplayer without going online like other newer nascar games have been since EA nascar08. Wish you could run a season or even your career cars in multiplayer, but no dice. EA nascar05 &6 can give you a season worth of local multiplayer, but that's it that I know of. All in all, fantastic game for its time, far superior to what is out currently. Wish someone would make an updated version. Great oldie, but a goodie.

For those who are still clinging onto the old PS2 system and are looking for an inexpensive NASCAR themed racing game, this is by far the best option I have found. I have played all of EA Sports' "NASCAR games" and non have come to the level of Dirt to Daytona (in fact I find EA Sports to be a mockery to NASCAR). The cars are completely customizable, and game play is very realistic. The only "complaints" I might have are that the cockpit view is seemingly odd with very low visibility and I also wish that they had developed the main sponsors you chose a little further (for instance in EA Sports NASCAR 2007, you can actually earn the right to drive for the Lowes' #48 or the Dupont #24). Other than that, a fantastic game beyond compare.

Loved this game back in the day

The game is in great shape. I love NASCAR: Dirt To Daytona mainly with the Weekly Racing Series and the Modified Series so they have a great story line for this and I am glad to have gotten from the seller I did. Very highly recommend this game to anyone.

Love this game. Had it before for GameCube but sold my GameCube stuff, played it on a friend's PS2 since, now picked up my own PS2 and Dirt to Daytona and it still, up to NASCAR '14, one of the best NASCAR games of all time.

this game was as advertised, the dirt track part of it a lot of fun. it took some getting used to, but once you work out the kinks you'll play for hours!

The best game ever. Played it with Grandson when he was young. Wore it out now I can enjoy it again.
