I first discovered needlepunch about 20 years ago. I ordered (directly from Marinda) her first small needlepunch book, and learned a lot from it. This book covers everything you need to know, and then some. It's excellent for a beginnner, in that she really spends time (and has pictures) of how to match the fabric and needle size. That is important. She also shows how to sculpt the finished work to get dimension and texture. There is something here for everyone. I am very impressed. I have purchased a few needlepunch books over the years, and this is the best I've ever seen. The directions are very clear, and the many many pictures are so helpful. Can't say enough.THANKS!

I love how creative the author is in this book. She shows many different ways you can punch needle and how to make difficult to punch fabrics viable. There is a lot of more advanced projects in this book that I am not yet ready to try, being a beginner. In the back of the book, there are a lot of websites for punch needle supplies and patterns. Sadly, about half of the sites no longer exist.

Lots of detail in this book, but the title should have indicated that the material is an in-depth coverage of punch needle embroidery and does not cover or describe rug punch needle work.

Beautiful book filled with inventive ideas to use beading and different things in the embroidery. However I bought it for my grandaughter and had to return it as her skills were not up to this book yet. I recommend it though for anyone who loves not only punch needle work, but any kind of embroidery. It is well worth every penny and colorfully illustrated .

Ordered this book for my Kindle Fire and love it! The photos are outstanding and can easily be enlarged on the Kindle with a simple double tap on the photo. The instructions are clear and helpful whether you are a beginner or advanced, there is something in here for everyone. It was the pictures that I loved, as the detail and designs were something beyond the usual offerings and I found myself itching to get to work on a few of the designs. If you are a needle punch fan, I would recommend this book as a great and informative resource.

Simply the most definitive, thorough, and best book on the topic of punch needle, by the queen of the craft. A natural teacher (I have taken her class), Stewart does a thorough job of explaining how to do the craft, what tools and accessories to use, and how to expand into more advanced uses and combine punch needle with other fabric arts, clothing, and beading. The book is filled with inspirational photos of stunning and whimsical and exquisitely detailed punch needle items. The book opens flat so the user can refer to it easily while learning the process. Highly recommended!

Good instruction how to accomplish this craft. Well written.

I purchased this to use while I'm laid up after surgery in September. I've not done anything more than look through it at this point in time. Looks easy enough for me to be able to follow. Until I'm more familiar with a product or method, it needs to be easy for me to stay interested in it.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I found it so easy to understand. Explanations are given for why you have to do something - not just how to do it. It covers from a brief history of the art, through choosing from a wide range of fabrics & threads to the finished item. All in easily managed sections. The diagrams are very clear to follow, with plenty of colour photographs of completed examples to admire & part done work to compare. The wire binding means the pages stay flat so you can easily follow a diagram while actually stitching. This is a book you will keep coming back to - whether for inspiration or troubleshoot a problem - you will come back to it!
