No, you didn't misread this. Recently I discovered a type of yarn that's amazingly soft than the regular cotton yarn. This yarn contains 30% milk protein and 70% cotton. It's perfect for baby and children knits. Downside? Absolutely nothing except it's slightly more expensive. To tell what's cotton what's acrylic - simply burn a small scrap of yarn. This yarn leaves absolutely nothing and NO smell at all!!

I thankfully took the advice of others and ordered the size 3-8 yrs for my 1 year old. She, admittedly, has a large head. I wanted to comment that she's in the 95%ile and the 3-8 year size fit her well. For reference, her head circumference is 18.5". The hat does not at all, in any way fit on my son's head. He's 2 and a half and his head is in the 100+%ile. The sizing isn't really the fault of the seller who is probably knitting for average size kids. I have to buy larger for bike helmets and such as well.The hat itself is well made and very sweet and I'm excited that she'll get to wear it this winter (it's for Halloween, but it's too cute to wear for only one occasion). It arrived quickly too. Very happy with my purchase, just be sure to size up if your kiddo has a larger than average head size.

Little Lea in the House!
My Grandbaby is only a couple weeks old so it was still on the big side for her but arrived just in time for May the 4th. But we can use it for more future picture as she grows into it.You will have to air it out or wash it because it had a bad order with it when it arrived. But very cute!!!

Too big, but good quality.
Way too big for a newborn. Even at 2mo old now still HUGE on her. Good quality, just wish it was smaller. Tucked it in for pictures, so it served its purpose.

A Bit Big
This item is nice quality and shapped well. It is just too big for our newborn. It is listed as 0-3 but is closer to a 3-6. So, it's a good product but not really usable for the Star Wars newborn picture we were hoing for.

Great gift!
Gave at a baby shower with a Jedi Princess onesie to a Star Wars loving family and it was a huge hit. Their little girl is about 2 months old now and it fits her well. So very cute.

Great quality, looks beautiful, too big for a new born, I am pretty sure my niece will be able to use it until she is 8 Mo. old or more, still it's a great product and she will be able to use it in the future.
