This was the perfect support for my 3 yr old learning to swim (I also got the smaller Aqua Leisure vest for my toddler - this one would have been too big for him). My 3yr old is 90th percentile height and weight, and it fit him well, but was getting snug by the end of the summer. I tried the arm floaters first, but they were too cumbersome for him to really practice swimming. So I got this vest, and at first I put him in both (vest and arm floaters) so we could test the buoyancy and balance, but it was readily apparent the arm floaters were unnecessary. The vest is great because it allowed him freedom of movement while giving him that little boost when he struggled. It also allowed him to put his face in the water when he wanted to, and made it easy for him to lean forward or backward and get back to vertical. Also, it dried quickly, kept its shape and never got smelly. By the end of the summer my son was pretty much swimming on his own. Now he just wants to "swim fast".

My 2 year old wears this every time we go to the pool. It's a great teaching aid and keeps him afloat but still requires him to manipulate himself in the water to keep from going under. It gives him the extra confidence to get in and try to start swimming without the fear of sinking like a rock if he makes a mistake. I highly recommend this product to those who are trying to teach young one's to swim. I'm not a fan of the arm floaties or vests that are flotational and require no effort to stay above water. I wan't my son to learn how to swim, not just float around. It also creates a natural feeling when learning to swim. Arm floaties restrict arm movement and floatation vests try to keep your head straight up at all times creating a awkward swimming motion. This also keeps that safe fear of the water instilled. He doesn't forget to be cautious because he knows that he is having to attempt to swim every time he's in the water. I believe he is less likely to jump into water carelessly because he is never truly relaxed and floating around in it.

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter to wear in the pool this summer and it fit her great with room to grow. Her 5 year old brother has the same style life jacket and it worked well but he will not be able to wear it next year. This was the perfect life jacked to teach the kids to swim in. It did not hinder their movement in the pool like a lot of other brands and it gave them the support and confidence to learn to swim on their own. I am very happy with this jacket and would definitely recommend it!

Great product. Fit my daughter perfectly. Didn't ride up her neck and rub her raw while she tried to swim..it held her afloat the water perfectly...just enough as she needed to try and swim.. However this is not a regular jacket people. This is for learning to swim. It will float but not like regular jacket. I had to put my daughters arm floats on a couple times because she wanted to go deeper in the pool and she has not mastered swimming fully yet..and this jacket does not offer 100 percent floating above water it is just to help give that confidence in learning to swim. But this jacket is great. Perfect for the learning experience!! Fit great, material is great, colors are bright and fun and shipping was fast!!

I was skeptical about this vest in that it is not really a life jacket and was concerned that it wouldn't keep the kiddos buoyant enough, or that it would keep their orientation in the water off. Not so! If you don't have the money for swimming lessons, this is an acceptable alternative to help get your kid on the right path to learning how to move in the water. Word of caution: I would not recommend this in a lake with larger waves or and ocean. It does not keep the child's head too far out of the water like a standard life jacket. Another added benefit is that it fits snuggly on my children, and keeps them warmer in cooler waters. I figure that by the end of the summer, my kids will be able swim without it.Fits very well. I have very thin 6 year old children and I believe that I got the smaller of the two species.

My grandson can swim pretty well, but I wanted him to have a vest for when we go out on a boat or when we head out to the keys this month. He is 6, 48" and about 48 lbs. I ordered the medium and it fits, but very snugly, and would likely not fit after a couple of months. I am returning it and have ordered the large because I really like it. It's light weight and not bulky like so many vests. My kid liked it so much that he was ready to have a mini hissy fit when I said I was going to return it until I told him I was replacing only. He's happy, life is good.Update: I got the Large and it's barely bigger than the medium. I am keeping it, and hoping that it at least lasts out the season. I think it should be designed in a way that it could at least last two summers and I'd remove a star for that. Other than that, it's very nice.

Was purchased for my son who is soon to be 6 years old while using the summer break to teach him how to swim about 4 days/week. My son was originally using the chest/arm floaties but he grew out of them. This product allows my son to be in a decent supine/chest down position and gives him ability to move his arms and shoulders for freestyle and breast strokes. I'm certainly not worried about him sinking either. This keeps him well afloat. Excellent product. One thing I'm worried is that he will probably grew out of this product in 2 years. Still, we both believe that we will make a good use of this device and help him transition to swimming by himself.

It is a swim vest to help your child work towards towards swimming independently with a little extra floatation. It is NOT a life jacket or PFD. If your kid is big and you purchase the wrong size I.e. 45lbs kid in a medium vest, they will probably sink. This vest is for kids that need a little extra help and it was a natural progression from a puddle jumper vest for my 5 year old.

Has yet to be approved by the four years old for whom I bought it. I think she will.

Excellent life vest for my toddler to use in the pool, it doesn't flip her on her back allowing her to be more independent in the water. This isn't for boating use and obviously for water safety an adult should always be close by and supervising. Excellent service as the life vest arrived as per the estimated date. Highly recommend for pool use.

Delivery was fast and quality is amazing, however it's too small even Large size. My daughter 6yo and 25 kg. Strap is too short. I wish brand has larger sizes for kids.
