i really liked how it looks and i was impressed with how fast the fan was when it was hit with light. The only this is that it does need to be in direct sunlight for it to work so I don't think it will work on overcast days but it still is really cool. I bought it for my dad who works in landscaping and under the blazing Arizona sun any little help against the heat is welcomed.****UpdateAfter about two months of use the hat is working less than it originally did. The fan has to be nudged to start up even in direct sun and it stops working sometimes. Even when it works it feels weaker than it used to be.

Great gift idea. Looking inside you can see a great soldering job. When they say direct sun light that is what they mean. So if you try it inside with flashlight might not work so don't panic. . The packing was great. You could have put egg in with hat and it would not crack the egg during shipping. I am not saying try it. Just want to say great packing.Yes I would buy again

I bought this for my Son who is a senior in high school and goes to every sporting event they have. It was perfect for football games when it was hot -- and now that it's cold, he doesn't care -- he wears it anyways! Very well made and the fan works fine. It would be nice if it went a little faster, but for being powered by the sun and the sun only, it's great!

I can not go ANYWHERE without getting asked about them. Yes I got my son one too cowboy Ill post a pic at some point. Anyway I got them as a prop for a low budget flick but they are so sweet they are used as daily head wear to keep the AZ sun at bay. superwidr brim cast a nice shadow.

It was for my husband who does construction and the solar hat came into handy definitely. He loves it and gets asked often where he got it. He uses it for work, our daughters games, and when we go to outside market events..useful and loved thanks

needs batteries so when I'm hot and step into the shade i can still be cooled off for a while...Awesome hat for sure!! My friends are buying them also.

Not a strong air moving fan,but you can still tell you are wearing .Kinda has an odor to it too,(probably whatever makes it stronger,and more durable than reg straw hats)
