Surfanic Maxim Roller Bag Roller Case, 63 cm, 70 liters, Black Marl

I already have the larger surfanic bag, but needed a smaller one for shorter weekend trips and also for a skiing holiday where I couldn’t fit four big bags in the car. This has been ideal, and I was able to pack all of my 9-year olds ski clothes in for a week in Finland. Seems well made and I like the organised compartments. My bigger surfanic bag did get damaged going through the airport as the baggage ‘throwers’ managed to bend the metal telescopic handle inside the bag stopping the handle pull out, but I am hoping the smaller size may make this version more robust. I would buy again.

PRO1. You can fit a lot of stuff in a surprisingly compact medium-sized bag2. Enough room in all three compartments3. Various handles attached to carry bag around4. Overall look of the bag, especially on the inside - three separate bagging spaces - one for clothing, one for shoes, one for accessories - neatly put together in two partsCON1. Can be difficult to keep upright, especially if carrying over uneven ground via main handle2. Also difficult to keep upright when not in use3. Scuffs already showing on plastic feet area of bottom of the bagThe pros certainly outweigh the cons, so much so that I’m still willing to give it five stars.

A good bag! Carried suits, couple of pairs of shoes, toiletries, rolled up casual wear, bits ‘n’ bobs, books, papers, and even laptop peripherals. Fitted well, with good protection all round. The padlocks (x3) were very useful, including for security when out of the hotel. Easily transportable. Very robust (guarantee for peace of mind) with straps to further secure the bag contents. It didn’t feel cumbersome as transiting through train and tube stations. Eurostar travel no worries at all. Very pleased with the bag. Not something you hear anyone say that often.

Carries all (+ various other bits of associated paraphernalia) comfortably … with room to spare.The two halves of this case are split as follows:Bottom section, with wheels under it, is one compartmentTop section has two compartments - one occupying approximately a third of the space - the other being twice the size.All are padded & all have a ‘zip mesh’ cover … & this, I believe, may prove to be the first part to show signs of wear.The outer case fabric is rugged, as are the two webbing straps which allow you to ratchet the bag tight … both, if you were/are to use it for air-travel, should survive the usual ’loving care’ (cough!) shown by baggage handlers as they dropkick our bags & cases from trolley to aircraft & back on to a carousel. ;-)))))

Plenty of room and flexibility with the compartments.

Sons school trip to Asia. 40 ltr bag tad small. 90 ltr a bit large. At 70 ltr this is perfect. Very practical and even when quite full, easy to unzip, carry and pull on its wheels. Not actually been used in anger but you can tell it is good quality and well made.

Haven’t used bag yet but looks excellent. Lots of useful compartments and seems very sturdy.
