Monroe911222 Reflex Truck Shock Absorber

They installed on my truck fine and the ride seems no different than stock. I'm giving a four as I've only had them on a few days and want to see how they hold up.

Not worth the money.

I was quoted triple the price as I got it on here at a service garage and it is the same product. They gave me the quote sheet I hopped onto Amazon and it was a fraction of the price. You cant go wrong with American made Monroe parts.

I bought these over a year ago, but decided to wait before I posted a review. The shocks arrived intact, with no signs of damage. The expansion ties were still on, keeping the piston compressed until I was ready to install them.On my '05 2500, the dampening on the rear shocks is comparable to the Mopar shocks when they were new. I don't know for sure, but I believe Mopar doesn't have as many part numbers for the rear shocks as they do for the front. And, I believe that all the 3/4-ton DH pickups have the same rear springs, excluding the Power Wagon. These shocks feel firm enough to prevent excessive hop when the bed is empty, and enough dampening when I'm loaded, or towing 11,000 pounds. And, the dampening has remained consistent over the last 15 months. Living in the Northeast, I pre-sprayed mine with a protective coating, then a black coat of paint over that to help reduce rusting. They are still in good shape in that respect.I gave 4 stars because I feel these are better than other after-market "stock" shocks, including Monroe's Gas-Magnum shock.EDIT:These shocks are now four years old. While I don't expect mechanical items to last forever, I didn't expect a mono-tube shock to start failing already- if it was a twin-tube shock, I would have expected it. One is seeping fluid, and neither has the same compression and rebound damping they did when they were new. When I re-read Monroe's warranty, it stated to go through the retailer where they were purchased. Upon contacting Amazon, the representative stated that they do not warranty items; such issues should be brought to the manufacturer. So, I called Monroe, and after pressing the number for warranty issues, a recording said to contact the retailer where they were purchased. I called again, and this time pressed the number that referenced technical support. A foreign sounding voice answered and had trouble understanding me, and I had trouble understanding him. After explaining my issue, I was transfered to a voice mail.I reduced my rating to two stars. For Amazon's inexpensive price, they served their purpose for a short while. However, for a mono-tube shock absorber, I am going to instead purchase Bilstein shocks this time... and since Amazon's price is the same as other retailers, I will purchase them from a retailer that deals with and warranties truck parts.

Got 75,0000 mile out of my OEM 2006 Dodge 2500 PU shocks but I had developed a minor "Death Wobble" (Google the term). I replaced the 4 shocks and steering stabilizer with Monroe products and the DW went away. It's nice to have my old truck back.

Took them straight out of the box and they bolted right on the back of my 2008 Ram 1500. The ride is better than when the truck was brand new.

Why pay more. There a gimmicky shocks out there with fancy paint and names, but Monroe never lets me down.

These are great shocks and they made a HUGE difference in the ride and handling of my truck. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a good set of shocks.
