This noise gate/compressor/limiter along with the Ultragraph pro fbq graphic equalizer have completely transformed my bass sound and my bass stack. It's good bye to muddy, hissy bass sounds and is now a clean, crisp top end without the hiss.With these signal processors I can now achieve a sound that's even cleaner than putting the bass directly into the mixer to achieve a nice 'live' feel that's like nothing on earth.I'm completely happy with these products and they will serve my bass stack well into the future.10 out of 10 for prompt delivery, value for money and perfect condition. Works well once you've got it dialled in, but it can take a while. Has passthrough too, so you can use the mic without it.

If you like lots of fairy lights you'll love this! (..but I covered most of them with black electrician's tape!)The Compressor aspect of it works well, but I also wanted its Expander aspect, to boost quiet dialogue in films. The Expander's not so noticeable - though plenty of LEDs show when it's (supposedly) active, and other LEDs show the boost it - apparently - gives. I haven't used its Gate facility (meant for cutting down ambient sound when used with a mic) so can't comment on that. (I think the pseudo [pretend] valve ('tube') sound doesn't do very much.)So it's a decent quality Compressor, if that's what you need, and at a good price. Useful in a home recording studio, and for knocking down those sudden bursts of F/X and too-loud music at scene cuts in streaming films or DVDs, and giving a gentle boost to quiet audio.

it works just as i wanted

I've been mainly music making without a computer recently and thought I'd get this just to make sure my levels don't overload my behringer uca222 usb audio.It works really well, is very transparent, no hiss, hum or degradation, and with the tube sim and enhance buttons engaged the sound is improved quite nicely, it might just be a little top and bottom boost but works well, even makes my mp3s flacs and wavs sound better.With auto mode, interactive knee and lo contour settings it's basically set it and forget it.
