Hirt's Green Prayer Plant - Maranta - Easy to grow - 4" Pot

I received this in a box along with the Zebra plant. They look very healthy. The dirt and pot were wrapped in plastic and each plant was placed in separate lunch size paper bags and placed in a box. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how well they were packed. The Prayer plant is quite full for a small plant. I measured its height from the top of the dirt to the top of the tallest leaf and it's about 5" tall. I'm quite happy with it. As far as value, I don't know how much it would cost in a store and I didn't feel like I wanted to go from store to store during this pandemic in the hopes of finding one of these. I'm more than satisfied with this. It is a small pot/plant but that's what I wanted. If I were looking to buy another I would use the same seller. I don't know how easy it is to take care of. It's supposed to be easy, but I have 6 cats and I needed something that wasn't toxic. My house also tends to be a little bit on the dark side, so I'll put it where it will get some filtered light and hope I don't kill it.

I ordered several things from Hirt's, it's hard to believe you can order anything from Amazon these days. The plants arrived safe and intact. They were packaged well with no mess in the box (I ordered four different plants) and so far they are doing very well. It's been a few months since I ordered my plants and I have no complaints!

Don't flip out when you get it in the mail. It is mailed with the soil dry and taped over. It will look wilted and my hubby just knew it was dead for good. Just remove the tape, sit it in the sink and soak the soil completely through with warm water every 30 minutes. At least 3 times. Don'tre-pot until the plant comes out of shock from shipping by putting on new leaves and regaining healthy look. Just to be safe.

I absolutely love by my plants from this seller. My prayer plant is thriving amazingly. I've had in maybe about a month and it has grown even in that short amount of time. The plant always come packaged in great condition I never had any kind of damage to the plant during shipping and I've never had any kind of problems with pests or bugs or anything of that nature with their plants. And I will definitely continue to buy from this seller.

Hirt's does an excellent job packaging their plants. For whatever reason, mine was left in a parcel locker in 100° weather for two days without my knowledge and survived thanks to the insulation.Marantas are fast growing and extremely hardy plants. They tend to grow leggy in the spring, so I recommend learning how to clone them (it's very easy) and packing some of the clones into the less leafy areas of your pot. I cannot praise this plant enough. I keep several varieties and they are all beautiful houseplants.

I was looking everywhere in my general location and could not find anyplace who sold these plants. So I took a chance and bought them on Amazon. I was worried and skeptical, but I decided to try it. I'm so glad I did. They came packaged very well and they survived. All the way from CA to NC. They are doing pretty well. After about a week of them getting acclimated to their new environment, I placed them in a new pot and added soil to what they came with.

Arrived promptly and in great condition and well packaged. Better than others I've purchased arrived nearly dead and dry or some that didn't make it! This one is a good size, a little pricey on the shipping. I wish if you buy plants from the same place that they would combine shipping instead. I know this one had shipping added in on the plant price because normally this plant would price around $7.00 and it was $15.00.

I am so thankful that I was able to find a place where I can purchase the green prayer plant (Maranta Leuconeura)! This was the most common variety of prayer plant for decades until the red veined variety (Maranta Leuconeura, Erythroneura) started showing up in stores and greenhouses. It is now so popular I can no longer find the original green plant anywhere in my area. In fact, an employee of well-known local greenhouse had never seen nor heard of the green one. Now I have one of each growing side by side in adjacent pots!
