Sleep Whale Bamboo Down Alternative Pillow with Gel Filling [2 pack Queen]

Got these pillows asa 2nd pillow each for my husband and I. Heavier than expected and so soft. Replaced our small old feather down pillows we have had for years. Wish I did this sooner. Good quality. I fluffed up 30 mins low heat in the dryer and they can’t out plump and softDefinitely would recommend.

The pillows have a good weight to them, and they feel well made and durable-- Actually a bit better constructed than I was expecting at this price point. I was taking a chance on these being a replacement for my primary pillows, but they are not quite up to the task, and wound up in the decorative bed pillow covers instead. I think this is one of so many instances where reviews make you shake your head-- and why you should be very careful using the broken Amazon review system as the primary source for making a buying decision, as tough as that may be.It's simple enough to fluff these up in the dryer, but when you plop your head on your newly purchased pillow-- that's where the issues start. You see, the primary point of a pillow is to provide support during sleep. What happens here is soon as you place your head down on the pillow, the filling pushes out to the sides and your head sinks down to the mattress. So, essentially they provide little to no support. It seems like something like this wouldn't happen...because the pillows do feel quite "weighty," but sure enough it does.So, on the basis of this being an $8 pillow-- you have to judge it on that basis. What can you really be expecting at that price point? In that respect, I guess it is OK. If you're expecting something that's is going perform at the same support level as a $60 - $100 pillow, you'll be supremely disappointed. For those looking for head and neck support, this may not be the item for you. -- Maybe as a spare pillow for a guest... For a decorative pillow cover, they have good loft and they work in that role well.

I was looking for pillows hard enough to support the head and soft enough not to have a headache every morning. I was in love with bamboo pillows, but as they are pretty expensive and I'm cut on money right now, I was looking for some good alternative on a budget. This set didn't have many reviews but the description and price made me buy it. And I don't regret! These are really great pillows. They are little heavy, as I like, and they keep their shape really well. Before, I slept on the very soft pillows and woke up with real bad headaches every morning. Well, no more headaches, no more struggles! Also, would be appropriate to mention, these two came pressed and rolled in very cute and compact bag, but after opening, they took the shape in just a couple of hours. In addition, the cover on the pillows has a zipper which is really helpful when you need to wash it. Great product! I'm in love! Thanks!

I haven’t cleaned these yet so can’t comment & I’ve never had any sort of gel insert in a pillow but 2 of these, covered with silk pillowcases (the good kind that zips shut) oh my **** I am sleeping better than I have in years. I’ve had serious sleep issues over the past few years (0-4 hours most nights) due to bronchitis that comes and goes, parenting a teenager, ridiculous neighbors (if only this product came with tape to put over their stereos and mouths), myriad of family & job issues. Forget it, I finally decided I want to invest in myself and these are wonderful. Add a great mattress in a soundproof room and I am good to go.

I stand on my feet all day at work. I couldn't wait to test these pillows out after a long day. When my head hit the pillow, the dreams immediately began. It was the best sleep I have had in ages. These pillows get 10 stars from me!

Love this pillow! When I first unpacked, let the pillow inflate back to normal size, pressed down on it with my hand, it seemed a little thin, but, in actual use, laying my head down on it, it is absolutely perfect. I had been using some more traditional gusseted, synthetic fill pillows, they were more towards the end of being overstuffed. If my head didn't find just the right "rut," I would wake up with headaches, neck pain. These pillows you just sink into, just the right amount of support, no fidgeting or adjusting needed.The fill is not what I was expecting, the last 'bamboo' pillow I owned had rough cubes/chunks of foam as filler, and a strange odor... these pillows seem to be one single slab, and there is no odor.

I was a little confused when they arrived because they were wrapped in plastic & flat as a pancake! The instructions said to put in dryer with a dryer sheet for 30 minutes. I did & viola they turned into nice firm but comfortable pillows. Can't wait to try them out tonight although I did fall asleep for a couple minutes trying them out after the dryer! I would recommend so far, I'm hoping they hold there shape & not flatten out like pillows I've purchased in the past.

Purchased looking for a supportive memory/cool pillow. This was a fail. Product arrived nicely packaged.put in the dryer for 30 min on low heat as instructed to achieve optimum loft. When i went to use it, the pillow was no better than a cheap polyester filled one. Will try to return
