Heats up can't really tell any difference after using it. Most of these 5 start reviews seem fake.

This straightener doesn’t feel well made. The bigger issue is that it does not work well. I tried it for several day and although it warms up, it does not seem to get hot. It also take a few minutes to get to maximum temperature. I don’t have a large beard, but there doesn’t seem to be enough surface area to perform well.

I tried using it on my son's hair didn't work. Let my brother take it for his beard said it wouldn't get hot nor did it do anything but tug on his beard.

The iron barely gets hot. It states on the packaging that it runs off of 220 vac but it doesn't say that in the product specifications. It does not work properly in the US.

Not doing anything for my beard. Doesn't straighten a thing. Maybe it doesn't get got enough or the fact it only touches the very surface hair. Useless

My husband loves this!!! He has course beard hair and it is up for the task!
