Nice productive play
My 10-year-old daughter and my 7-year-old son have spent a lot of time together building this LEGO.They have now started collecting all the different figurines from Pikachu. The instructions are better than before and the Lego are now colour-coded so to make it simpler for children to put them together.Productive entertainment during school holidays and rainy days.5 Stars

We Love This
I am just going to type what my eight year old says:I started on Saturday evening but didn't get to finish before bed time, so I completed it on Sunday.Pikachu was the hardest to makeThe pieces are very little so you really need to concentrateI made it all by myself without my dads helpI persevered; even when i struggled I didn't give up and that's why I'm proud of myself.I think it's safe to say he loves it and really enjoyed making it.

Megablox Pikachu
Great little set - lots of small parts, it's like Lego but the set can move, and the detail is a little bit more intricate. Very dynamic toys when complete, so it's easy to actually play with after the initial fun of building it.Instructions were a little hard to follow, but simple enough with enough time and help.

Great Set to Develop Building Skills!
This is my first time using a Mega Bloks Construx set and I was really impressed. It’s like Lego but perhaps just better value for money. It’s quite a large set, with lots of small bricks and also comes with cute little coffee cups, blender and a juice cup. All of which my son loved playing with. The set includes Detective Pikachu and Ludicolo, which are easily recognisable. It was a bit tricky to build but has really helped to push him to the next stage of hand/eye coordination. It may have taken a good few hours building, but when we were finished we were both really happy with it and it’s now in pride of place in his room.

Great fun set!
Ths is great fun. You get an adorable detective Pikachu who is very small but articulated. You can remove his hat, you can put his head tilting down to either side and move his arms. Ludicool is absolutely huge comapred to little Pikachu and looks like the character as he appears in the anime/cartoon books rather than the hairy creature he appears in the Detective pikachu movie. All his arms etc are articulated. You also get bits to make a cafe. There is a sink with cupboards (which don't open), a shelf, an espresso machine and one action where that you press an overhanging tile piece up on the shelf that causes a cup to fall off down into the sink. You also get some milk cartons and other bits such as coffee cups and plates. There are also pieces to make a bar stoll and table to drink your coffee at. The set has 328 pieces. It's really colourful, great fun to have on a shelf but like all Lego style kits not really suitable for rough play.

Fantastic Detective Pikachu set - great for kids or adult Pokemon fans
This is a fantastic brick building set. The Mega Bloks are very similar and, on checking, seem to connect fine with other brands. As a Pokemon fan (Pikachu is always my favourite) this is ideal as a toy for children or to be kept as a collector's item to put on display on a shelf. It takes a good hour+ to construct as an adult, so is likely to take a little longer for children. Some adult supervision would be recommended for younger children as there are a lot of small pieces. The instrucrions are OK, however would be a little difficult for very young children. Anyone receiving this as a gift will not be disappointed, whether an adult Pokemon fan or a child.

Quite a challenge if you are used to Lego.
We’ve never tried mega blox construct before but done an awful lot of Lego in our time and consider ourselves competent builders. My 12 year old daughter and I found this so much harder than Lego, the instructions are harder to interpret, some of the pieces are only very subtlety different so it’s hard to tell them apart and it was a bit of a struggle actually clicking some of them together. The final result was relatively pleasing but it was a much more stressful experience than Lego for us. I don’t think we will be getting any more of this type.
