BARR-CO 3.4oz Hand Cream - Original Scent

PLEASE BEWARE: The review below is for the ORIGINAL...AUTHENTIC Barr Co Fine Oatmeal Cream. I received this product from one vendor (fulfilled by Amazon) and IT IS NOT the original cream!!! While the tube appeared to be brand new and there was an aluminum seal over the opening, upon puncturing the seal, a noxious, sickly sweet fragrance was released. When I attempted to use the cream (JIC), it was so oily, I literally had to use vinegar to get the smell off my hands. Thankfully, I was able to return for a refund.REVIEW for product purchased from Tartburners and More, and Fred's Home Store: This cream is pricey, but worth every cent of the cost (and the AMZ price is better than any other I've found; and I definitely researched). The scent is pleasant and calming, kind of comforting. The fact that the products are made in small batches is a huge selling point for me, but the natural ingredients and the effectiveness of the healing components to heal and protect your hands is my focus. I teach HS English and handle incredible amounts of papers every day (yes, I know it's the digital age, but some things just have to be written!), and the Barr's is probably one of the few I've found that isn't oily, doesn't have to be re-applied frequently, and even remains effective after a couple of routine/gentle hand-washings throughout the day. My daughter is a pediatric PT and washes even more frequently; it is a lifesaver for her as well - high on our gift list, for sure. I like the other Barr products, but do not use them regularly, though I'm sure they would increase the effectiveness of the Oatmeal Cream. This cream is a staple for me.

It’s a must for dry winter hands. It creamy soaks in skin and doesn’t leave behind greasy film. Which I hate. Feels smooth and soft after and last a while. Definitely on my must have lost and Christmas presents for loved ones. Great on cuticles also.

Get it. Get it right now. It's the business. It's legit. Yes it costs money but your skin is worth the investment. You know those ads that say "non greasy formula"? Yeah. This doesn't say that. It just IS that. I bought a little tube of this the first time in a boutique. I was hoarding it because I couldn't find it elsewhere and I was running out. Then I saw it on Amazon and I breathed a sigh of relief. Needless to say I got it right away. The scent is light and creamy and faintly oatmealy. No harsh fragrances, just the way things should be. Do yourself a favor. Get it.

It did not aggravate the eczema on my hand so that's good as many scented and non-scented lotions did (this has a nice light scent). Do not really like the metal tube however, as the lotion is hard to get out and gets hole in it when less than half full.

I adore the smell of this cream. I also love the moisturizing properties for dry and cracked winter skin. It never burns the skin, so I know it is natural. I use it every winter and even throughout the year!

I first bought this from a spa and fell in love with it. The original scent is GREAT, refreshing and light...it's male-approved too. I love that a very little drop goes A LONG WAY so this tube last a long time...several months in my purse with almost daily use. It may feel slightly greasy at application but absorbs very well and very fast. Just be sure to always squeeze from the bottom to get the most out of it. The emptier it gets the harder it is to squeeze since it's not like typical plastic lotion tubes. LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff and was so excited to find it on Amazon (especially after paying "spa pricing for it previously)

Every winter my hands get so dry that when I use ordinary hand lotion they burn and turn red. A friend of mine had some of this and I tried it one time and ordered some from Amazon the very same day. That one time made the biggest difference I have even seen on my hands. I love the soft smell. If you have dry hands and have been looking for something that will make a BIG difference, this is the hand cream for you. I have one in my purse, on my desk at work, in my kitchen, and in my bedroom. I will not be without it ever again.
