A great read for the middle of January.
This is a easy to read, inspiring book for gardeners who want a colorful garden all season long. It has nice pictures that make you want to go out in the snow and start figuring out what to plant where. I don't consider myself a novice gardener and I came away from this book with quite a few new ideas .. I definitely recommend it. to anybody who likes to garden. It is especially inspiring if you read it in the cold gloomy days or winter.

Some good info
I ordered this with high expectations. But the book is somewhat limited compared to other similar titles. Lots of beautiful photos, a few examples of what non-stop color looks like, but not really a "how-to" book. I also purchased The Ever-Blooming Flower Garden shortly after which has given me a lot more of the "how-to" info I was looking for. This book is an acceptable starting point, but once you are ready to dig in deeper to this topic, I prefer the other book.

did not seem to deliver the promise in the title
I want to know whose garden is pictured on the cover. From what is blooming, it looks like late summer and the plants are packed in and pretty much all in bloom. So what does this area look like during the rest of the year? There is no information on the front cover garden in terms of plants, or how it looks in different seasons or what state it is in.With a title like this, I was expecting photos of the same garden, during different seasons to show all the color. However the photos are just like any other book, pictures showing a moment when something looks its best. All gardens have those moments. While the book does have information about many plants, details were glossed over. Yes hollies can have berries, but you can't simply plant a Winter Red and expect berries which is how it sounds here. These plants need a male pollinator and a specific male at that.Sure gardens should include trees, shrubs, perennials, annuals and ground covers, which usually are perennials, but having those plants in no way gives you nonstop color. Many of the plants mentioned are not hardy in the mid-west.I did not see anything in this book, not found in other books, nor anything specific to make your gardens be nonstop color.

Not too happy.
Item was delivered very quickly. Unfortunately there was some kind of sticky cardboard stuck to the back of the book. The parcel itself was partly open and the front of the book was creased on one corner. This is a Christmas present so not very happy. Took a picture of it and can forward it from my iPad if I have an email address.
