I had been looking for a travel kettle for the car so I could make a cup of tea after a hike. Everything was just toooo much. Until I ran into this little gem! Heats up water in my Yeti cup to the point it will brew some tea. Small enough to keep in the car year round. Super simple design.

I heat my coffee while traveling. This unit is dangerous. The wiring is too light and it melted in my cup. I was able to throw it out the window as it caught fire. Scared the he'll out of me but received minor burns. Pull this product from your shelves. Serious danger.

It'll get the job done. IDK if there's supposed to be a diode to keep the wire from getting hot, but there's no diode and the whole wire gets hot.The plastic housing can't be immersed. It's not sealed, and I think it's abs plastic. If it's ABS, it's toxic. It's not meant to be immersed completely, but it'd be better to have one that's sealed in case it happens so you don't short the connection before the nichrome heating wire connection to the copper cord wire, adding electrolysis byproduct from the copper wire or whatever metal the crimp is, into your liquid.I would not buy again. I bought another that's way better for just a dollar more. It's sealed and the wired doesn't heat up.

This works as designed but the cable gets very hot when using.

It took to long to heat up a cup of water about 30 mins. It worked twice, the third time it just stopped working! Very disappointed with the quality! It almost felt like a toy the gauge of the cord was so small the cord itself would be hot after 30 mins of use! I would never buy this same item again. Personally I felt if I would have left it plugged in any longer it would have caught fire and possibly caught my car on fire! This item should not be sold to anyone it should be recalled and everyone that purchased it should be refunded there money!
