HHIP 3129-0015 1/2 Inch Shank Knee Feed Adapter for Power Drill

This thing works great on older j head Bridgeport from late 60’s early 70’s machine…I was going to make one but for the $30 some dollars wasn’t worth the time…wish I had one of these years ago makes things so much quicker when changing from longer drill chucks to an endmill….thanks

Well, if you are buying this item, you probably have a mill, or you wouldnt need it. When it arrived, it did not fit on my mill, which is a 1982 Bridgeport Series 1. So, no biggie, I have a mill, so I simply milled out the hole a bit more and it works perfect now. Seriously folks, if you bought this, and complained cause it didnt fit, you should have the equipment and skills to MAKE it fit. There are all sorts of mills out there and its set up to basically work on "most" mills. The key is the lugs and they fit the bridgeport perfectly. Milling out the hole took me minutes. If you want it to fit on a typical household drill, you will need to take the stem down a bit. Again, simple, cause YOU GOT A MILL! Still a good deal as the steel and time needed to make it would be well in excess of what you paid for it. Mine was NOT rusty but was rather nice finish for what is just an adapter. Works very well, I might add. So not sure why there are that many negative reviews for what is, essentially, an adapter that is set up for the largest variety of mills possible.

Fits perfect on a Sharp knee mill. How did I get by without this all these years? If you have to bring the knee up or down a long ways you want this. Believe me. Sure, I've thought about making one for years but who has the time when your at work? This is cheap enough that it's definitely not worth the time to make your own. And that reminds me; anyone complaining that it doesn't quite fit, make it fit! Aren't you a machinist? There's another Sharp knee mill at work with a power knee. What a waste of money that feature is when this will accomplish the same thing. And that power knee has a wheel instead of a knee handle which makes fine adjustments of the knee difficult. This is better. I'm using a DeWalt cordless for power. Just make sure the battery is charged.

The socket on this adapter is too shallow, so it does not engage the teeth and does not work. Returned

Great J-head type vertical mill tool and good value price. Works for Bridgeport or Supermax mill. Changes height faster with any good drill. For y-axis changing different configuration settings, faster and less exhaustion on operator for going up and down cycles.

This worked great straight out of the factory. Well built and solid. Will last 10 lifetimes. My favourite tool I have. My buddy with 25 years cranking on a Bridgeport loves it too. Worth every cent without the hassle of having to make one.

Great piece, spline fitment was perfect. It wasn’t bored deep enough to fully mesh so I had to cut approx. 3/16” off the end of the shaft on my mill.
