A bit dry but jam packed with information

Not comprehensive in many areas. Metalwork crafts are very lightly treated really hardly at all. Ceramics are not treated in sufficient detail. Jewelry is however very well treated and represented with many supporting photographs. Rugs and weaving are only moderately treated but not nearly adequately. There's alot of text on beliefs and talismans, on ceremonies and rituals and on the history of Morocco and its people, which in my opinion adds little to understading the crafts tradition in Morocco, although it does give you an insight into some of its ritualistic symbolic imagery. Compared to the other books in this collection, i.e. Arts and Crafts of India, Arts and Crafts of Syria, this one is weak.

I love this book. Better than I expected. Learning so much and the illustrations are extraordinary

A great reference for Moroccan style, colour & influence. It's well written, with new knowledge on nearly every page, full-colour images and ideal for someone who likes to disappear in to Moroccan design and regional works. Glad I purchased this book!

Beautiful book! Interesting text. A recent trip to Morocco piqued my interest in their beautiful crafts.

Little color. Very dry. Not at all appealing.

Travelers to Morocco will love this book, for its gorgeous photos and detailed information about crafts and art in Morocco. Used it to focus on what I wanted to buy on a trip there, and purchased a beautiful burnoose!
