The Best Is Here! I have tried the others in the markets and the taste texture smell flavor and chew of the end product was not up to snuff! I needed some corn meal and since I love all things Amazon, I checked and found a Southern Classic. I have not had a dish that has failed ever! It bakes great all around and the rise gives it an extra tenderness. Load on some sweet creamy butter, coconut oil, orange blossom honey, Blackburn syrup or agave nectar and you have a little slice of heavenly delight. I recommend this to all who love cornbread and it will open up a whole new ingredient to your culinary repertoire that your family and friends will request over and over again. I will be back for more.

Mix with water and a little salt and make like a thick pancake batter and spoon into hot olive oil! when golden brown, flip over to the white side, cook in hot olive oil till golden brown! add a pat of butter after it cools and enjoy with any meal!

Packaging of the cornmeal was not damaged, I haven't used it as of yet but I am sure it will be just fine. If not, later, when I do use it and find it full of bugs I will revise my review. At this time, I give a five star rating in just the fact the packaging of the product was not damaged at all.

Awesome product, I wish I had known it wasn't going to be available in the future, I would have bought more. Don't you hate when a company stops creating a product for no good reason when you still want to buy it? what is up with disappearing yellow cornmeal? Monsanto problems?
