French in 3 Months Cd Language Course

It’s worth a try.

Picture and title is misleading. Only received a book and was not as useful to me.

Although it says 3 CDs, they were NOT in the package!! This is a great course, I learned more in 3 days about pronunciation and conjugation that I have in 3 month courses! But I lost the 1st CD and was hoping to replace it, no such luck. Now I have two books and am still missing a CD.

I find this book/CD very helpful and Informative. Although, I'm not a stranger to the French language, I've taken it several years ago And, as native New Orleans, French is my second language. Just brushing up!

Warning! I do not think this is a beginners course even though they say it is. It will work much better if you have a basic knowledge of French or have the time to sit down and read and study the book. I speak good Spanish, not bad Italian, some German and some Japanese and this course was the most difficult I have tried to use. On the CD there is no translations to English so you are forced to sit down with the book. I learn better when I can listen when I am working, walking or driving. Repetition, repetition, repetition! On the other hand the CD's are well produced and the speakers are clear and mostly understandable. They also try to teach you some grammar which IMHO has little use for someone who simply wants to have an ability to go to France and be able to do normal tourist stuff. Therefore if you want to review or sharpen your French this is a good course, otherwise I would pass.
