These are great for those who want to try and do guitar repairs.I'm sure that if you are a professional luthier you'll want professional tools sort of like a master auto mechanic using tools from a wholesale box store instead of a high quality name brand tools.These are great because if you want to dabble with guitars and you (like me) watched a few online video's and think you'd like to give it a go but don't want to spend hundreds of dollars to purchase name brand tools only to find that repairing guitars just isn't your thing (again like me) these will work great for that!I just realized after messing around with all the knowledge I got from watching video's the reason that people go to luthier schools and become professional luthiers is because only a few can just watch some video's and be good at it. I just take my guitars to the local shop and have them set up and they work so much better than the hours I spent trying to make them sound good.I hope this helps but I also hope that this doesn't discourage you from trying your hand at working on guitars. I had a lot of fun messing around with my guitars and if it weren't for having a great little guitar store close to my home I'd probably still be messing around with luthier work and who knows I might have gotten good at it eventually.

Was able to fix my 12 string Epiphone after 2 years, brought guitar in and was told not fixable for what it would cost, wanted to buy it from me, I love my Epiphone and didn’t want to get rid of it. Finally I decided to fix the couple of bad frets. Had no success until I bought tools. Then I ended up replacing all frets, guitar now sounds great!!!!!

Not professional quality tools but got the job done and will be nice to have for future use perfect for a novice like me

This kit comes in handy. For what it costs, you cannot go wrong. You get a lot of good tools you may need, and it's reassuring to know you have them when you may need them. Five stars all the way for me.

I would NEVER use this on a good guitar.I had a cheap $100 guitar with a raised fret that this kit helped me fix.The only reason I got the kit is because I thought going to a luthier would have been too expensive for such a cheap guitar. It worked.You get what you pay for, so don't expect much.

I was just looking for a fret rocker tool but when I came across this package I figured what the heck, give it a shot. Am I glad I did. All the tools are very good quality and useful. Not only did I check out the rock on my Strat but I was also able to clean up some of my older acoustics. Very worthwhile investment.

It includes everything I needed short of fret removal pliers but I was able to manage and they made the rest of the job much easier than it would have been without them

Mine arrived in good shape. These are perfect for non-pro home use. Yes they have a few little burs you have to smooth out. They even provide knife sharpening stones to knock them down.

I bought these tools to help maintain repair and build guitars and other string instruments like ukelele and bass guitar I didn't want to spend a lot of money until I know I am going to be able to do the job myself so an ideal stepping stone to get me started as my own guitar tech , having done a great job on my main guitar I'm planning to go a step further and build a guitar from scratch so I will upgrade my tools at some point but these will do the job for a while, I'll keep them handy in my travel kit even after the upgrade as I find them quite useful

I wanted some introductory tools for guitar repair so these will get you off the ground. I checked the fret rocker for accuracy (using an engineering straight edge) and the 3rd side is a little rounded so wont be accurate. The hammer has a nice weight to it and the shields work well. I think if you use this as a starter package knowing you get what you pay for, so be aware of the limitations, then you will be ok
