It is so interesting to find out the wide variety of people and partners in the CD community. I liked the idea of policemen hitting on the CDs, this is very amusing, though not for the CD at the time.

I found it very informative. Well researched. There were both good and bad expertise. The how's and why. Who they are. What they do. Why transvestite are private about it. How come they are! Why its a taboo, crime for men to wear dresses. And why it legal for women wear clothes of the opposite gender in public. And not be judge for what they wear. What is the sociality is so one sided in this system. There were many historically a counts for men wearing dresses in public. But he left out several counts. Of some men that was androgynous dressed in dresses.

Dr Coleman shows compassion in this book. He gives these men a platform to share their experiences. Another well written book by Dr Coleman.

Though I felt the writings were kind of carry on and on, the point he puts across in the book is very positive to the Crossdresser. Worth the read for the price

This book has real important knowledge that could only be gathered from people who live it. I didn't allow myself to cross dress until recently and feel that if presented with this knowledge , I might have had a better life.It's premise that cross dressing is a healthy life choice is a bold and inevitable conclusion that I hope future generations will see as a fact of life.Many people are supportive and understanding of us and this book explains why they should be.Thanks for helping me to be me !

An absolute must read. Great info and perspective. Easy read, great views, great research. Buy this book!

I say that it is obvious and it may seem so to me as I have been dressing since my teens for over 40 years. There is a decent amount of verbatim commentary and enough research to justify the conclusions.

This was another very informative and truthful book about crossdressers, without all the Negativity and Lies being printed today.

Very well written book! It describes the extraordinary stress men go through in our world and the need to connect with their feminine side!

It only takes a moment to change, but a lifetime to be accepted by society, but it has always been the case for all genders!

The book summarizes the evaluation of several questionnaires. The truthfulness of the different answers is not validated, e.g. if people are telling really the truth or only what the author expects or what they are willing to tell, because the are maybe ashamed to tell their whole story. I would have expected some more background information and some more interpretation of the given answers.If you know a transvestite person it maybe helps you to understand him a little bit better and to gain information which behaviour how often occurs in transvestite people but you cannot help him to make peace with his otherness.

Based upon carefully gathered research, this brief, but compelling book has given me insight into a male choice of expression that I have never before understood.I now feel I have some measure of appreciation for 'why' these choices are made, instead of just an amiable acceptance that these dressing choices are being made around the world, and that the men making them have a right to express themselves this way, without their dignity being attacked.

This book offers perspective into why men crossdress, with interesting survey responses. Would recommend to those trying to learn more about themselves or those they know who crossdress.
