Works great, wish I’d have bought them sooner.
Put one on all the rv’s. Easy to permanently install the pigtails and just unplug and go. Hook back up when done is just as easy. Great product and quit worrying about dead batteries.

Multi Configuration Quality Charger
For the price, the charger arrives with every optional attachments to accommodate various charging configurations. My Honda Shadow battery location is difficult to access without an access cable. This charger simplified the process and sustain the battery charge throughout the winter.

Easy to use
Just hook it up and it does the rest. I have an 05 convertible that I don’t drive in the winter. Battery was run down and car would not start. After charging the battery for a few hours it started and now is just keeping battery trickle charged.

durable and long lasting
I have used this as a Battery tender/charger on my Motorcycle for a long time now, Especially through the winter months. It has not disappointed me. It was easy to install the connection cable and easy to use.I definitely recommend this charger.

Smarter and more effective than any other maintainer!
Another winner in my Optimate stable. I own three different models now serving different purposes.I wanted one to keep my Optima Blue-Top agm in top shape. While agm's have very low self-discharge, mine is stored in the garage where temps in the summer usually hit over 100F. I got tired of babysitting it with a top-up charge every month or so, and the Optimate 421 is ideal for the job.I've got other maintainer chargers, but none of them do it the right way. What I really like is the 50% duty cycle during maintain - that is 30 minutes of maintenance, and 30 minutes of rest, along with the other testing features. This helps to ensure that the battery is treated correctly, rather than just dumping an endless supply of current (even if it low current) forever like other chargers do. This is important in my hot garage and gives the batteries a breather every 30 minutes. Common sense. While I could use this to charge the Optima Blue Top, I actually use another one better suited for the job - the Optimate 6 - to do the majority of the charge. The Optimate 2 is then used primarily for maintenance afterwards, freeing up the '6 to do other charging chores. For lithium, I prefer the 5A dedicated Optimate lithium charger. Now that they have a newer lower-amperage model for lithium, the "TM-471" model, that is what I would use instead for the additional lifepo4-only features.

I use multiple of these little chargers in my shop to keep multiple batteries ready for whenever they're needed. These chargers are the best on the market
