Excellent book on urban issues in ministry - both broad and deep
A great textbook for urban ministry. This book combines biblical and historical analysis with practical strategies for ministry in cities. it deals with a broad range of issues, including analyzing the city and urban leadership development. This is a great book for those interested in many different aspects of urban ministry.

Such a broad spectrum regarding the city. They bring many thoughts and ideas to the table. It is a book that needs to read a couple of times, but really helps one understand the city and the importance that should be placed on it. It would be nice to see an updated version of this book.

A Must Read
I've not only read this book for undergraduate studies and enjoyed the read. I have since then reread this book, and purchased it for others. Every pastor, church leader, and laity should take time to read; you'll enjoy it.

A Story of Success...
Urban Ministry does have quite a bit to say, and a lot of it able to encourage ministers and congregations, but it also mostly a success story of how things worked out in one large congregation in a certain community. As long as the reader(s) are aware that simply transferring what they did is not the same as learning and finding what works for their community, this is a great book.

Very good.
The book arrived in top condition. It's a good read and I highlighted almost everything I read in this book, not to mention it's also a text book for one of my classes.
