SmittyBilt WINCH COVER BLACK S/B - SB97281-98

This has been on my husbands Jeep for years and still looks good. Protects the winch very well.

A lot of reviews say this doesn’t fit. I took my time, had patience, read the instructions and it fit like a glove. It does fit tight but I drive 70 on the interstate and would be worried about if flying off if it didn’t fit good and tight. It’s perfect and does what it’s supposed to do.

Used on my 10k x20 winch. Worked great for a $25 cover. Turn the emblem to the back and works great. Relaced the cheap rope with 550 cord and the zip tied one corner just for added security. Works great. Don't believe what the others are saying about it not working or blowing off if they can't secure a winch cover. Probably don't need to be working a winch. Just saying

This cover WILL NOT fit the XRC GEN2 9500lb winch if you mount the control box on the top of the winch and is being returned.It would probably be fine if the control was mounted to the side.I gave it a 4 star rating anyway because the cover itself seems to be a decent quality product.

I haven't yet figured out how this is supposed to go on over the winch. It has laces at each end, but also running across the middle about 1/4 of the way from each end. I can force the two laces on over the non-wired end, but the wiring that came with the Smittybilt 10k winch is on the other end. So there the two laces just bunch up the cover because the inside lace can't get in past the cables. i didn't see instructions. You'd not expect them. Putting a cover on a winch should be a no-brainer. I'm going to try removing the laces, then reinstalling them. This won't be easy due to the close quarters on the Jeep. By the way, they put the Smittybilt logo where it hides behind the roller assembly. Go figure.But the material is heavy and if I can get past the laces it may be fine.

I bought the Smittybilt X20 10000lb waterproof winch and this cover because it said it fit all Smittybilt winches. Apparently that didn't include their new line. I should have returned it but I kept trying to make it fit thinking I was doing something wrong. But the cover barely fits over the ends of the winch and, because of the tight fit, puts up a fight pulling it down over the body of the winch. Then there is the design. Even when I could pull/tug/wrestle the cover on the winch, if the side with the logo is supposed to be the front, there is something seriously wrong. That puts the small flap on the front when it would seem to belong in the back to allow the power cables out to the grill, But if you put the logo on the front, there is no way to pull the back of the cover down due to the aforementioned power cables. It's my fault I didn't return it but don't make the same mistake I made. Don't order this product if you buy one of the new X20 winch models.

Arrived with no damage. Seems to be a nice cover for my smittybilt winch.
