Experiencing God's Peace: Philippians (A Woman After God's Own Heart)

It was a nice bible study, but each chapter was short without a lot of in-depth or application questions. May be a good study for recent converts, but not so good for someone looking for a meaty, spiritually in-depth study.

Excellent book, but I only received 19 instead of 20 books. Not sure how to get the extra book sent to me…

This was a great Bible study for persons on the go. It was interesting and thought provoking.

This book does a good job of going through the book of Philippians. Some of the lessons don't focus on peace as much as I'd hoped but she does just go straight through Philippians. The lessons follow a good pattern and I generally get something out of all of them (I'm about half way through the book). She prints the scriptures in the book (outside of lesson 1), so you don't even need your Bible to complete the lesson. I can typically finish a lesson in 15-20 minutes, which I feel is a good little Bible lesson to do.

Great Bi le study to do alone or with a friend.In the midst of lots of change, this study gave me a greater appreciation for the peace that comes from truth and the teachings of Philippians. Highly recommended.

Over the years I have had the joy of leading ladies Bible studies and we have used many of the Elizabeth George verse by verse studies. She goes deep enough to challenge those who are hungry for the "meat of the Word of God" yet keeps it where a new believer would also find the study a blessing and means to grow in her faith. Our ladies are just getting ready to begin this one in the new year. I have been preparing ahead as their teacher and can't wait to share it with the class.

Generally, I don't use books in my Women's Bible studies. However, I loved what this book did for my Lifegroup. The ladies in my group were young and not used to studying the Bible so the book helped them be able to participate better in our discussions. This book was closer to the Bible then most study helps. I would recommend this book very highly.

Experiencing God's Peace by Elizabeth George has been an easy study to guide women through. I like the way she guides you through the book of Philippians. It is written in a way that makes it easy for one on one study or a group study to follow. I would reccommend her books to others who are looking to study the Bible in a simple, concise, and yet challenging way. She has a nice way of explaining how to apply the scripture to our every day lives.

This will help me in my personal study of the Bible
