Fresh and Crispy
My favorite cookies for years. I don’t get them often, so it’s always a special treat. Shared with friends who love them now too.

You can really taste the butter in these cookies. I went to a friend’s house and they had them and now these are my go to cookies, I just love them. 🍪

I WISH I could say these were awful. Yes, you read that correctly: "were", as they are now gone. 😁
The evil side of me wants to tell you that these were terrible and that you should skip them, but the part of me who doesn't want to gain 200 lbs. eating just these, knows I would only say that so they aren't sold out next time I look for them. As it is, I will tell you the truth ...They are YUMMY!In fact, if this doesn't sell you, nothing will: Included in our Amazon order was pound cake, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream so that I could make my hubby a mini strawberry shortcake after dinner, but while putting our groceries away he opened these Tate cookies and ate away. He then LITERALLY asked me, one cookie in-hand: "How is it that you always know what's delicious to order"?Well, I know what I like and figure he will too. As others have already mentioned, these are thin and crunchy and seem to be freshly baked. JUST how I like my cookies (and bread for that matter - I like the outside, crunchy, part of loaves). They are flavorful, and have the right amount of chips. No overloading and no skimping. Coupled with being baked just right, what's not to love?In as far as whether they are a good value, well, at $5 for 14 cookies (two small packs of 7 each); around $1 for three cookies; or 35/36 cents each cookie; these are a little pricier than other cookies on the market, for sure, but a treat is a treat.

They were just short of perfect when it came to our family taste test but might seem sublime to some.
I have an Ina Garten cookbook which uses these cookies in a recipe so I wanted to test the recipe with the recommended brand, at least the first time around. These definitely passed the "tastes like home baked test" especially when warmed at a low temperature in our oven for only 5 minutes or so.These are crisp cookies so if you like softer baked chocolate chip cookies you won't want to choose these. Also, the salt can be detected when you take a bite but it happens to make these taste a bit sweeter. I deducted a star because I can make better chocolate chip cookies which I developed after tweaking several different recipes. Mine have more vanilla and my family prefers them. But all but one kid devoured these as well. ..so no complaints there and they save time. They're going to be an addition to our Thanksgiving plate of cookies. If you're wondering about the salt, just imagine the salty/sweet combinations which are available in some fine chocolates - but without any sickeningly sweet flavor. These are more on the mildly sweet side with just an accent of saltiness. Even so, they may seem too salty for some. My son didn't like these cookies but the adults did. So there's our take.I was concerned about whether these would survive shipping intact. Perhaps I was lucky but they were in fine shape.

Too Expensive
I liked the cookies very much but, for the price and what you get it isn't worth the money. Will not order again.

Guilty pleasure
I love Tate's but their cookies are made from processed products which are a no-no for me so I buy them infrequently. I'm told that I can have most foods in moderation but I'm afraid that Tate's and moderationis a concept I cannot embrace.
