Interpet Aqua Air Oxygen Pump for Aquarium Fish Tank Aeration, Quiet, Powerful, 1 Outlet, AP2 for Aquariums 51-100 Litre

Recently one of my goldfish who lives in a pond fell ill. The medication I needed to cure my fish would have killed the beneficial bacteria in the filter so I was obliged to set up hospital tanks indoors. In order to make sure that the tanks were properly aerated I bought the AP4 aquarium air pump. It has two outlets so I had the option of using both outlets to pump air into one tank or one outlet per tank. Either way the AP4 did the job well. The hospital tanks each had a 60 litres capacity which was well within the power of the pump.

I have had a few of these pumps ( AP3 ) over the years and they have like the one on Amazon site I had it from have always been Grey this one is black I wondered if it was a new model and posted that question on line the reply from a recent purchaser was his was Grey now Im wondering if its a copy and will not use it until I have contacted interpet.

It's too late to return this now and there's are no options to do so , 3 weeks of it being fine and then started to make a blinding racket, it's awful and will be ringing API about replacing it, so disappointed. I bought this to replace the AV3 as it too started making noise but a year on not a month in! Don't waste your money.

It does the job but the one i had before buying the one i got today ( due to the other breaking ) its alot louder and isnt producing as much air not sure why but it does the job and luckily my tvs volume can compete against the noise from the pump

I have no idea how it works as when it arrived there was no hose to use it.... for the money I would have thought a hose would have been included.... shame!

Item was to replace identical pump bought in May who's diaphram split giving no output. Used for 2 days then stopped working.It had drew back water when turned off at night. Started smoking and stopped working next morning. Disappointed.

The lead is ridiculously short, which was disappointing. I did not expect the lead to be any different to the one I was replacing and it does make noise

This pump is powerful and will do what is asked of it in relation to what you connect too it. Biggest disappointment is it is not quiet,it creates further noise if you regulate air through it. The two outputs, if you don't need the second one then add a piece of air hose to it anyway as this helps with the noise from the air coming from it.I had an AP1 before upgrading to this it lasted four years and was ultra quiet, big brother is obviously more powerful hence more noise.
