From the Manufacturer Nurtured by Nature diapers take an innovative environmental approach while incorporating super premium diaper quality. Nurtured by Nature diapers respect your baby's skin, perform like a super premium diaper, and offer a competitive price. Like the highest quality premium brands, Nurtured by Nature offers a stretch waist, full-stretch side panels, premium absorbency (with a bio-based absorbent) and a design-printed backsheet. But the environmental impact of Nurtured by Nature diapers is very different from leading national brands. Approximately two-thirds of the materials used in the leading diaper brands are synthetic and are derived from non-renewable resources. The production of these materials consumes valuable petrochemical resources and in some cases creates adverse environmental impacts. Nurtured by Nature Diapers are designed to reduce the environmental footprint created by the production and consumption of disposable diapers. Unlike most diapers, the absorbent padding material in Nurtured by Nature diapers is totally Chlorine-Free. Dioxins and organochlorides are not released into the air or water. Nurtured by Nature diapers also use less synthetic gel material in the absorbent core by blending an innovative bio-based absorbent material with traditional absorbent gel material. Finally, the backsheet and topsheet of Nurtured by Nature diapers contain 50% plant-starch based Ingeo (TM) fiber, an annually renewable resource. (Formerly Natural Choice brand diapers)

These diapers really are great. We're very conscious of not using chemicals near our babies skin (right down to using cotton balls and water instead of wipes!) so for our first two kids we had used (and loved) Naty and Earth's Best. But for baby #3 we couldn't find Naty locally and they were quite expensive on Amazon. We tried Earth's Best but he surprisingly began to develop a rash when wearing them. We were looking for an alternative to Earth's Best and came across these, which I had never seen before but decided to give a try.*Crucially for us, as it says on the packaging, it contains no carcinogenic or toxic chemicals including bleach/chlorine, which can so easily enter through a new baby's skin and go directly into the blood stream. The parts of the diaper that come into contact with baby's wet skin are plant-based.*For me, being eco-friendly is a plus, especially if you use bio-degradable diaper bags for disposal.*The fit is great. When we're out and he needs changing, he never gets the saggy diaper look! :)*We have had hardly any day time leakages in almost 18 months of use - we had a few with Earth's Best.*We've had about 4-5 night time leakages (again, in 18 months). This is after a good 10-12 hour sleep.*The tabs are very robust. In 18 months we've had maybe a handful of diapers that had defective tabs.*They are fragrance-free.*The one con if I can call it that, is that they are a little bulkier than say Luvs, but only slightly. As a seasoned mom I don't carry big diaper change bags with me. I throw snacks/diapers/everything in my average-sized purse! And even for me the diaper size is negligible and is certainly outweighed by the pros! These are worth a try. I came to find out they are the same as the Comfort for Baby range at Kroger, but only cheaper if you do subscribe and save. Amazon Mom helps too if it's available in your area.

Favorite Diapers!
I have been using Huggies Pure and Natural on my 3 month old son since he was born (when we ran out of the Pampers the hospital gave us). I wanted to try something different, better for the environment, budget friendly, but still disposable. So I started my hunt on Amazon, I am a Prime member so I usually try to look for the Prime eligible items, and I wanted to also start the Amazon Mom automatic delivery on diapers so I can save even more. There are various types of environmentally sensitive diapers but most were expensive. I read lots of reviews on this diaper, and it seemed to be either it works great or it leaks or gives a rash. I am happy to say that they work great on my son! I was worried when I first put them on him though, they dont seem to come up very high in the front, so I was worried he would leak there overnight but he didn't! One thing I particularly like about the diaper is when I change it in the morning (after 10-12 hours) it doesn't get so full and start soaking through the front, like the Huggies do, my hand was always damp after I rolled the Huggies up to trash them,so I am very happy that these diapers soak it up and keep it in! Also, the diapers don't make baby have a big, smushy round shape in front when he pees. I plan on enrolling in the Amazon Mom diaper delivery because for $25 for 160 awesome diapers, it's a steal! I was paying $20 for 80 huggies, so $40 for 160, I am so happy to be saving $15 on diapers, plus I started making my own wipes, which are working out great too!!

The best disposable diaper available
These diapers perform excellently. They fit well around the legs and back. I have experienced no blow-outs from them, and even when they are SOAKING wet, they don't leak. My daughter seldom got diaper rash, either. As far as their non-toxicity, they are not chlorine bleached, nor are they dyed brown in an effort to "greenwash" (ahem, Seventh Generation). The best part is that they are unscented. Not only do I want to smell my baby, not some chemical perfume concoction, but the olfactory nerve (the one associated with the sense of smell) goes directly to the limbic system in the brain. It is really important that babies be able to smell their mommies. I love that these diapers don't interfere with that process. Moreover, unlike perfumed diapers, you can have a pack of these diapers in the room your baby sleeps in (my room, in my case), without fear of causing or exacerbating breathing problems.I would rate these diapers 5 stars if they only had NO gel, like the old Tushies, before they were bought out by Earth's Best. However, the gel is a corn-based , so that is an improvement over the petroleum-based gel of standard diapers. An added bonus: my daughter has always loved to look at the picture of the baby on the package. Babies love to look at other babies.

They are all right
I have worked extensively with Pampers in a hospital setting so I am very used to those, but I wanted something that didn't have as many chemicals or bleach for my little one. After some searching I have settled on these. I've gone through half of the box so far and these are my findings...In comparison to Pampers Size 1 this is a smaller diaper. Probably about 80% of size of Pampers lengtwise, but it is also a wider diaper. The absorbent pad is narrower than Pampers and it doesn't reach so far in the back. For example if I position the back of the diaper where it lines up with my baby's belly button, the absorbent pad only reaches as far as baby's butt crack. This works OK with me since my little one poops every several days and is a boy so most of his urine ends up in the front. I don't think this diaper would work so well for a girl or a frequent pooper. The absorbent material is very good, it would be good if it would cover more diaper area. The tabs are not as stretchy or solid, nor do they attach as well to the diaper. If you have to re-adjust the tabs, they lose their ability to adhere to diaper. The tabs are made of material that is not very breathable. I find this diaper a bit harder to put on the baby well in the middle of the night when I'm half-awake, so I still use Pampers at night and N by N during the day. I'm not exactly extatic over these. The closest I've found to Pampers that is natural are the 7th Gen diapers.
