Product Description In 2007, Iittala launched the highly individual Taika 3-1/3-ounce espresso cup by Klaus Haapaniemi, an internationally renowned illustrator. Klaus Haapaniemi has a very distinctive style of decoration, and combining this style with the basic values of the Iittala range produces an exciting mix. This 3-1/3-ounce espresso cup and the complimentry pieces in this collection, has a fantesy story told on it's surface, bringing an exciting and colorful presentation to the table! To counterbalance the exuberance of the decoration, the design is translated on a simple shape featuring classic, clean lines. This cup is also availble in a blue background. A new design and look for your table - only from iittala. .com While most iittala dinnerware embraces form over ornamentation, Taika breaks the mold. True, the forms are clean and simple, but the surfaces are wildly decorated with imaginative owls, foxes, and trees in a rich Nordic tradition. Taika means magic in Finnish, and the enchanted forest theme is apt. The designer of these fanciful scenes is Finnish illustrator and artist Klaus Haapaniemi, a rising star in the international design world. Each porcelain mug, bowl, or plate comes in either a white or midnight-blue background, which allows for individualized expression in mixing together or with iittala's all-white Aika dinnerware. Made in Finland of durable porcelain, the Taika 3-1/3-ounce espresso cup is just right for a single or double shot of espresso. Haapaniemi's illustrations fully adorn the straight, tapered sides of the cup, while the graceful handle and interior remain white even on the blue version. Paired up with the matching saucer, the festive espresso cups seem to have a special appeal during the holiday season. In addition to microwave-use, all Taika dinnerware is safe for use in the oven, freezer, and dishwasher. --Ann Bieri

Not at all what I thought.
The item is about as big as the picture is. I read it as there were going to be" 3 " 1/3 oz cups, however it holds the capacity of 3 1/3 oz cups. While it is EXTREMELY cute, I was very disappointed in this miscommunication. I would have bought the mug for only a few dollars cheaper if I would have known it would only have one and was so small.

Made in Thailand - deceptive - NOT made in FInland or Italy
I paid almost $20 including tax for a cup that I thought would be made in Finland or Italy. It came today, and I was shocked to see a Made in Thailand sticker on it.Misleading, no?Nothing wrong with ceramic from Thailand, maybe. But I would not have knowingly paid almost $20 for one wee cup from Thailand.I am thoroughly disgusted. This should have been disclosed both by Ittala and Amazon. The high price implies that the product is made in Europe.

Beautiful cup but photo deceiving--no saucer included
This is a beautiful cup, however, please be aware that I was deceived by the product photo showing the saucer -- a saucer is NOT included, and doesn't seem to be for sale elsewhere on Amazon or from this seller. Otherwise very happy with this!

Perfect gift
This is a beautiful, good-quality espresso cup. The handle feels comfortable to hold. The rim is of good thickness. The images along with the colors make them even more special.
