Zebra Steel Mechanical Pencil 9 Pack M-301 Bonus Lead and Erasers

I am a music student finishing my first year. I definitely prefer these (.5mm width) over the cheaper plastic ones. The mechanism is much more reliable, and the heavier weight is more comfortable in hand. I've also tried the Pentel P205, but the "sleeve" that holds the lead seems to be too small and shaves off the lead when retracting, and also the distance from the tip to the finger grip is a full inch, whereas on the Zebra it's only .75" - that might just be a personal preference. I always have a couple of these and a Pentel Hi-Polymer block eraser in my backpack (there is a LOT of erasing in music theory class). The erasers that come on the Zebra pencil are quite a bit better (but smaller) than the cheaper Bic pencils, but not as good as the Pentel Hi-Polymer block eraser. Out of dropping the pencil at least 20 times in the last 8 months, I've only had to replace the lead 3 times because it shattered... not sure how that compares with other pencils.

Really pleased with this product. These steel mechanical pencils have excellent quality and are crafted well. I personally enjoy the grip a lot, which is a groove of small, smooth squares. The eraser is covered by a small detachable cap, which I've never seen before. It should be noted these mechanical pencils do not have a retractable tip and can only use 0.5mm lead (not sure why the description says "0.5mm/0.7mm"). The pack contains 12 pieces of 0.5mm HB lead and 5 replacement erasers. Feels good to write with.So yeah, I really like this product. I wanted something that looked nice and works well. I got precisely that.

I’ve always loved Zebra brand mechanical pencils and the quality is still very good! You really only need one of these - which will last for a very long time - however if you’re prone to losing pens and pencils, or you’re like my spouse that works with cleptos, a multi-pack is a great value.

So I love these pencils, as the tip is amazingly fine and sturdy (despite using the same lead as a standard mechanical pencil). The steel shaft fits perfectly in my hand, with no slip, and this is important as someone who does fashion illustrations because you want everything in the right place. No normally, a 2-pack at a drugstore costs around $8. This is getting you over 4 times that for under $20. I cannot recommend enough, I even prefer them to standard wood/graphite pencils!

Always love using zebra pens and pencils. They are comfortable, durable and write well. Removed 1 star only because packaging doesn't match advertised package and my packaging lists the pencils and refills as 0.7 mm yet the actual pencils and refills are marked 0.5 mm. I did order the 0.5 mm. So I will leave it at that.

I've used this same pencil for over 3 decades. Sturdy, sharp looking, and highly functional. This was a great value...these will no doubt last me the rest of my life. I like having them everywhere I might need to pick one up.

These are good, quality mechanical pencils (metal casing) with eraser inside the metal cap. Work well, and the bonus pen is actually really good. Extra erasers and some HB lead is great!

Great pencil introduced to me by my engineering student son.Nice to get 9 to a pak and extra leads.Recommend and would buy again.
