Fine work indeed
Marie Lecrivain's book will delight many, startle some, upset others. So be it. There are very few writers who deal with the real LA, the part that takes place on the streets and in areas not Hollywood. Ms. Lecrivain takes us to the actual urban essence of this city, and does so with astonishing and well-earned wit and, dare we say, hard-won wisdom. The writing is direct, spare, caustic, just the right pitch to deliver the goods, and the goods here are many. Her honesty is unflinching, and that, I believe, is the core of all truly memorable writing. Her canines show, but so does her heart. I highly recommend this book of flash fiction.BD

Lyrical and emotional touching
Pushcart Prize nominee Marie Lecrivain possesses a extraordinary talent for language and emotional power with her collection, Nihilistic Foibles. I encourage all who love good storytelling to purchase this volume of short fiction and poetry. You will not be disappointed.
